So will they continue it or not? Even Shaft seems to have forgotten about the "concept movie". Will they wait another decade or so like with Eva?

They were busy with Monogatari.

They always seem to be.

There is no money left in Madoka. The discs won't sell, because nothing does, and people are tired of the characters, so the waifu pillows will sell poorly too.

Hopefully. They can't just give us a trailer and leave it at that.

But they haven't. The concept movie was literally just story boards and retards assumed it meant a 2016 release date. Kirara 30 says they're chugging along and will be Shaft's priority after Fate/Extra. Butcher recently made a cryptic comment about doing his best to steal his character's happiness in 2018.

This.

How unfortunate.

2017 is the year of revived anime. So if they will, it will probably be this year.

Well meme'd

Says you, I just bought a waifu pillow for $70

Who cares? I don't think there's anything more they COULD do with Madoka. So why contain it?

Kizu got delayed because of Rebellion.

It works both ways.

How does rubbing your vagina against kyokos feel? Just admit you are a girl.

>So will they continue it or not?
Was this any more than a one-season TV anime, a movie, and some manga retreading mostly the same ground? I thought it had a series of what-ifs, but looking around online it seems that just the series and a several-part movie were all the animations made.

There's a lot of material for them to adapt, that's not a direct sequel though. There's Kazumi Magica and Oriko Magica.
Oh and there's the different story, which I think is good for several OVAs, if not a full series.

There is also a PSP game, which has lots of What-ifs
Still waiting for full fan-translation on that though...

You have to give to get.

doubles

This. Think of Rebellion as like the ending to The Graduate (Homura/Benjamin goes full autistic stalker and steals the love of her/his life away from goddesshood/the altar; destroys all remaining friendship with Sayaka/Elaine's parents but has no regrets (at least for the moment). Then two of them run off into the horizon in last scene (well, next to last for Rebellion).)

Cue Sounds of Silence MAD.

I would really another season.

>n-n-no one wants more Madoka
The 5 minute, limited relase concept movie was rated the 40 something best anime of 2016 and the series is currently 2nd in the NHK's 100 years of anime poll and 1st among male viewers.

I'd be pissed if they really left best girl (Madoka) in that situation. There's no way they'd do it.

She's either going to be trapped living a normal life in an illusionary world maintained by a suffering Homura or trapped as a lone, immaterial concept that absorbs the grief of the universe. She isn't forecasted to really get a great end regardless.

Then explain why Madoka merchandise is still sellinf great in Japan
Also this >Butcher recently made a cryptic comment about doing his best to steal his character's happiness in 2018.
On his twitter right?

I hope they never do

Theres no way an 'ending' like rebellion's can be considered as closure or as 'better leave it to imagination'

Rebellion was announced as the absolute end of pmmm, and that was not an ending.

They would be doing an incredible disservice to the loyal fans if they don't truly conclude this story.

And the worst part about this? Shaft might actually make a completely different story on the same universe, completely denying us if the closure we deserve, just so shinbo can get MOAR MUNNY.

Yep. He made a comment about how he sees some of his certain characters enjoying happiness on Valentines Day and that he's glad to see them happy, but at the same time will do his best to steal their happiness. I may be a little biased in terms of which of his series I enjoy, but I highly doubt he was talking about his characters from Saya no Uta, Thunderbolt Fantasy, or Fate/Zero.

>Rebellion was announced as the absolute end of pmmm, and that was not an ending.
It ended on a literal cliff hanger. Every interview from 2014 onward said they wanted a sequel. Anyone who says otherwise is stupid.

>Shaft might actually make a completely different story on the same universe
I wouldn't worry about that. We've seen Devil Homu, Sayaka with a stand, some sort of new pseudowitch that Kyouko is fighting. My bigger fear is how they're going to bring the Wraiths into everything.

cont.
Shinob stated he's only interested in the girls and that anything from Kirara Magica was meant to be an EU for fans who wanted more.

There's the mobile game coming out so I'm pretty sure we might get something out of that.

Also this

That's not it, he receives chocolate on valentine's day for his characters, he just said that he can't wait to eat chocolate next valentine for the new characters he's currently writing.

He's currently writing TBF 2, I wouldn't be surprised if he writes even more puppet shows, he said it's the perfect medium for him.

...

I think the latter was still happier in a way. At least she had agency and made the choice herself.

It was happier the first time around. Considering the chances of Sayaka being permakilled and Homura becoming her eternal enemy, it has the potential to not be happy the second time. Though I'm just hoping she BTFOs Homura out of her autism and then takes her to the conceptual realm with her.

I stand corrected. That said, it doesnt change the Kirara 30 interview with Shinbo.

Besides it was kinda obvious they were going to focus more on Madoka after Fate/Extra, given how this year Aniplex is focusing his shekels on Fate series

It will continue no doubt.
