Singapore isn't an example that a multicultural society can be perfectly harmonious, its an example that a multicultural society can be successful.
A wage gap does not disprove success, multiculturalism doesn't necessarily imply equality, but Singapore is successful enough to attract malays away from malaysia, a country where they hold political supremacy. Also Singapore is authoritarian, but the laws on free speech and assocaition impact the educated Chinese and Indian dissidents more than uneducated malays. In fact Islam, like all religions is considered a taboo topic for criticism.
We aren't a third world shithole because we are small, we have competent leaders who know how to structure policy, and we have very strict rules on anything that messes with the economy. This allows us to have a migrant population that is as big if not bigger than the local citizenry. The point isn't that multiculturalism caused this success, but that multiculturalism doesn't necessarily lead to disaster.

One of the better chinks. He's the reason Singapore is such a success today. The only thing I don't like about him is he bent over and took Western culture up the arse.
