It airs next season? Alongside:
>SnK S2
>Hero Academia S2
>Kekkai Sensen S2
>Shingeki no Bahamut S2
>Saekano S2
>Uchouten Kazoku S2
>Granblue Fantasy
>Boruto

Hoo boy. Good luck getting anyone paying attention to it.

Of course no. Which word in "probably four months" sentence you didn't understand?

Is this yuri? I hope this is yuri. Kyoani please.

Reaching the critical point, Violet raised the umbrella she had taken with her and opened it flashily. It was like a blooming flower. The umbrella’s frills swayed beautifully, and as if predicting the perfect timing, the wind pushed her feet forward. Her skirt and umbrella bulged softly in the air, her petticoat sticking out. Her long lace-up boots gently stepped onto the decayed leaves floating on the water surface.

That one moment. That one second. That one picture. The scene as clear as a photography was engraved into Oscar’s memory. A girl with a swinging umbrella and a fluttering skirt, stepping onto the surface of a lake. Just like a sorceress.

The words of his daughter from the day her heartbeats stopped came back to him.

‘Someday…’

“You’ll show it to me someday, right? In that lake close to our house, when the leaves that fall in autumn gather together on the water surface.”

‘Someday… I’ll show it to you someday, Dad.’

Holy shit. How someone can write this good? No wonder why it won Kyoani grand prize. Only anime can overcome it now.

There seems to be pretty boys in the main cast, so don't get your hopes up.

Holy shit that quality.

Picked up the fuck up.

>Shitgeki
>Bland Academia
>Aborto
Shit tier. The rest is eh, passable I guess.

>KyoAni
>not getting any attention

It's the other way around user

Wew

oh boy

Wait, this is going to be an anime? I thought it was a movie.

slut

We only know that an anime project is in the works. We don't know the format it will be yet.

youtu.be/0CJeDetA45Q?t=38

*what the format will be

Likely to be a TV series. If it were a movie they'd be advertising it as one by now.

What is she going to show her dad someday in that lake close to their house, when the leaves that fall in autumn gather together on the water surface?

This looks so boring

Was she met with an unfortunate event before becoming a doll?

She looks civil compared to the other two

No, fuck off.

Violet Evergarden is never going to meet the expectations people have set-up for it and it'll get fucked hard by shitposters.

>episodic garbage
>anime changes forever
I've seen you say this before, why are you trying to shill so hard for this series?

I'm one of the biggest kyoani fags but I can't get hyped for this. Based on plot summaries and how it looks it isn't anything groundbreaking.

>Tea time with adults
Already AOTY

Who cares about shitposters? They can't ruin actual show. And it already have all redeeming qualities.
>Kyoani
>award-winning work
>feels more like real novel, at least Charles Dickens/Oscar Wilde tier, not your typical LNcrap
>XX century European setting with well-written and mature protags
>real, touching drama, not cringeworthy teen shit
>godtier design far from your typical anime and we already can be sure Kyoani nails it
>PV looks better than all 2010 shows combined
It gonna be the one of the best shows of all time and we know it.

The PV is just 20 seconds. Don't expect it to look like that at all. Also the battle axe scene was very cringeworthy

This kind of false flagging is always boring. And it's only going to get worse when it actually airs.

>award-winning work
Are you dumb? Most of what KyoAni animates has won "awards", but the wards are within their own contests, it's nothing special. Phantom world shit was a KyoAni award winner, too.

>feels more like real novel
It's episodic garbage.

>at least Charles Dickens/Oscar Wilde tier
This has to be trolling.

>well-written and mature protags
You have literally nothing to base this statement on.

It's going to be better and prettier than keitai.

>Kyoani
Why? The animation is so good but they somehow turn everything they touch into shit.

>Most of what KyoAni animates has won "awards"
This is the only LN that has won an award. That's why it's so hyped.

So what is it actually about

Their awards. I don't think that counts for much

The novel is in a mostly episodic format where Violet travels around Europe as she is rented to various customers. The chapters are taken from the perspective of the customer since Violet's job is simply to be a beautiful typewriter. As from the CM, Violet ties peoples hearts together through her letters, putting down on paper the feelings and emotions that her customers can't. The irony of this is that Violet is cold and almost robotic so she often doesn't understand what she's writing down in the first place.

In each of these stories, we start to piece together what happened in Violet's life to reach this point and who is the person she keeps referring to as Major when she's alone. The final chapter of the novel covers Violets time during the war and how she was adopted by him.

Do you think if you just don't quote the rest of that sentence that no one will notice?
You just confirmed that you are trolling.

Sounds shit.

I quoted the wrong part. the rest of his post had nothing to do with my correction.

Sounds neat. Will they actually go to Yurop to scout for backgrounds?

Speaking of awards, Yamada just lost out an award at the Japan Academy Awards for animation of the year to Sunao Katabuchi's In This Corner of The World.

I hope they did like in the "don't care about the budget" k-on movie.

She looks sad.

Is that Yamada on the lower left? She looks like she's been JUSTed

;_;

Yes, that's her.

>quoted a part about it winning an award
>replied about it getting an award
How exactly did you quote the wrong thing?
And you didn't correct anything, your posts are so unclear I'm almost sure you have autism.

Literally JUST

All that means is that it's (probably) better than their novels that didn't win awards.

News source

I want to hold her.

It's the other way around. They always pick the shittiest source material, and turn it into something good with their godtier visual direction. For example look at hibike.

>Most of what KyoAni animates has won "awards"
This is a lie. They never give awards VEG is the first one to win it. Then again this user understood where the hype comes from

Hibike has good source material though.
A better example would be Keion.

She's barely holding it together.

So based on the replies this will be the meme girl of the show?

How do you say just fuck my shit up in japanese?

She will have as many haters as fans. Tea girl will probably be the most loved.

justo fakku ore no shitto uppu

Justu fucku maiu shittu appu?

...

The contenders this year

...

Kimi no na Wa and One Piece are too mainstream, Koe no Katachi is too childish, what the fuck is that CGI thing? Really only In this Corner had a chance.

Also Japan really needs to update their motion graphics game, that design looks 20 years old.

At least she won an Os... AHAHAHAHA

>even thinking it would be nominated
Even Kimi no Na wa had a better shot.

>screenshotting your own posts

>academy award
Sounds like a false flag.

The card has her name on it, but the announcer made a mistake.

If that's true she's probably very embarrassed. Serves her right for ruining the comedy in Maidragon episode 8.

Why does anybody care so much about Yamada not getting an award?

Who is KyoAni's most versatile director?

Because everyone overrates her

Kigami. He can direct anything but his own show.

...

Ishihara. Takemoto is good but can only direct comedies, Ishidate is complete garbage I don't know why he hasn't been sacked yet. Yamada can only do forced drama or cute girls. Kigami will never be series director again after the Munto blunder.

Go eat a banana, monkeyman.

Hyouka wasn't a comedy and it was good.

Ishihara is complete trash on his own.

Speaking of which, will it be their next big thing? Answer is pretty much yes. Kyoani have two types of shows, based on animation, designs and visuals: high (Hyouka, Eupho, Tamako Love Story) and low (other shows, for example, Nichijou and Maidragon are lowest among them). So, because every high Kyoani anime is a huge hit, I am pretty sure so does VEG. That's why I am legitimately hyped.

What do you mean by low? Nichijou is probably their best animated work to date.

Ishidate is a good episode director tho. Hibike s2 ep 9 is the best EOTS

Free was their weakest visually if we go by design and palette and it was a huge hit.

Nichijou was definitely High tier, and back then Kyoani didn't spread their resources across multiple projects the same way they do now.

I wish they wouldn't do that.

Seems to be working just fine.

I just want to see another Nichijou like project from them.

maid doragon is almost that.

Nichijou and Hyouka were not funded by them.

it's good but not even close.

That'll never happen again though.
Unless they go all out for VEG's more action-y scenes, the designs are already significantly less detailed in the CM, they will have even less detail in the anime so it's possible.

>That silhouette of her legs
>Heterochromia
>Art nouveau ornament
>that everything
Thank you based godani

You're rusing me right? This is basic prose.
I'm excited for the series but don't be an idiot.

There's nothing sincere about that post m8, or this thread.

Who is the target audience of this? Who are these designs supposed to appeal to?

They are trying to grab people who like JRPGs.

Me.

I have no idea what are you talking about, this is a common European fashion from XX century, Kyoani is always accurate when it comes to that kind of stuff.
