Personally I think they should have gone with a better colour than blue. I know the old ones used to be blue but this was an opportunity for the UK to have a meaningful colour like pink. May sound a bit poofy at first but consider the British Empire is pink on maps so this would be a statement about how we are reclaiming our position in the world as a superpower alongside USA and China, now we are free from having to prop up the EU.
