It's been almost 3 years since TWGOK ended

It's been almost 3 years since TWGOK ended.

Were you happy with the ending?

Yes

No, Tenri shouldve won and im a Kanonfag
Sadly author rushed the ending and the last arc it was the worst one

...

>Tenri shouldve won

Missing the reactions to the final chapter where their hopes are crushed for good.

that one user talking about Nisekoi and hoping for Onedera ending; if only we knew back then

Nah, I don't mind that chiroro won but we should at least see why she fell in love with him. She just did off screen with no known interaction.

If you didn't know Chitoge was going to win from reading the oneshot, you were a retard.

I wonder if he sudoku'd.

I thought it was OK, for the most part.
I never liked Tenri, always thought she was a sucky, mopey character, but I thought the ending gave her an unnecessary kick in the teeth.

I also didn't like the way Elsie's resolution dissolved her friendship with Hacqua, that bothered me more than most of the shipping crap, as I enjoyed the relationship between the two

>I also didn't like the way Elsie's resolution dissolved her friendship with Hacqua, that bothered me more than most of the shipping crap, as I enjoyed the relationship between the two
This. This was the only thing that bothered me.

Haqua's century long friendship with Elsie was simply erased from history.

still glad

Yes.

Chihiro was the only one that was distinct enough and deserving of the win.

Fuck True Tears still though

Is Wakaki's new manga any good?

What were they even holding onto? I was too busy laughing at them to remember.

i was lmaoing the whole time

good times

>i was lmaoing the whole time

>tumblr gif

No you weren't.

>Were you happy with the ending?
At first, I was too busy laughing at all the faggots who were btfo. Then when the storm calmed, I was happy to see a shipping that makes sense, come true and the author didn't pander to his fans.

This.

Yes
I wasn't happy with the year+ of shit chapter that leaded up to it though.

I thought the ending itself was fine and fit what Wakaki was going for. That being said, it did feel rushed. I thought that we were going to have at least one more arc after Keima returned to the present with that Demeter tease, but it never went anywhere.

The ending was just the cherry on top of the shit sundae Wakaki had been making for the last few arcs.

No, Chihiro winning was the only good thing.
But the whole thing was rushed and dissapointing, and the pointless final arc was so insufferable i dropped it just to catch on two chapters before that ending.
Also >I also didn't like the way Elsie's resolution dissolved her friendship with Hacqua, that bothered me more than most of the shipping crap, as I enjoyed the relationship between the two

It was bullshit and I regret ever reading it.

>still this salty

It was obvious from the end of the Goddess Arc that Chihiro would win. Shipping delusions were the only hope anyone had after that.

Wakaki obviously had a plan, and it was fantastic he had a plan, but sadly he burned out before he could flesh the plan out. That's the only disappointment here. It would be great for him to go back and flesh out the last arc properly with what he actually wanted to do without the pressure of weekly panels.

The most disappointing part was LC's reveal though. Most speculation had already figured it out, but it would have been nice to see the plot actually build up to it, rather than just park it on our heads the way it did.

I really enjoyed TWGOK, it's a real shame what happened to it and Wakaki. Maybe if we'd succeeded in getting that cake to him he might have had the courage to do his job properly. Who knows.

I still can't believe he didn't just go find ramen girl again and marry her.

I think it's telling that it was once everybody's favorite manga but then the ending happened and nobody talks about it anymore.

The last arc was so fucking bad that i'm surprised more people didn't dropped it.
The interest probably peaked at the goddesses arc anyway.

Should have sent him a gift card.

Also I don't like that cake manga of his.

Keima going back to a shota was a mistake.

The author just gave up, the whole past arc had to be used for the present hell arc but everything was just flushed down the toilet.

The mistake was time travel.
Too much drama and no comedy didn't helped.

>The author just gave up
And i will never forgive him.

Shouta Keima did nothing wrong. That wasn't the problem.
Also, the comedy was still there.

The problem was the comedy just wasn't as good. Also that the ratio of comedy to forced drama was to high.

No. Not because of Chihiro, but because it sucked and the final arc sucked.

Obligatory "anyone who thinks Tenri should've won is fucking moronic and didn't understand the manga at all"

I wish Keima would have remained pure and loyal to the 2D instead of going for a real relationship.

It's because of the goddess arc and all before it that people didn't drop the series. I did, and I still took a while to do so. It's a lot of faith to squander, you know? It used to be my favorite manga series.

Why did he abandoned his waifu again?
Did Nora's heart reading thing made him stop loving her or the autor decided not to continue with that so he could get with Chihiro with no more bullshit?

Go read the Akari arc again.

Who was she again?
The girl that wanted to make a perfect human?

Yes, AKA Elsie's sister.

By the way, the LC bullshit that people "figured out" was all wrong and was not hinted at at all. That reveal sucked and it sucked more that Elsie was forgotten from hell.

The whole last arc was such shit, god damn

But she waited for 10 years even though she knew.

That is best girl material.

Best girl won but it needed more build-up, like Keima actually apologizing for what he did since they never actually resolved that conflict. Instead we got 70 chapters of nothing people cared about

>figured out
Keima did. So did everyone here. But I agree that a reader who would marathon it now would just be confused.

Didn't Chihiro hear the reason for Keima's actions when she helped him with Ayumi?

She is like waiting in line at the post office. Like working the rest of your life at the DMV. Like winning with Haruka in the idolm@ster. Or playing games of chess with yourself.

She is plain yogurt. Vanilla ice cream with nothing on it. Or a box of rice crackers.

It makes no sense to me why anyone would choose her. Ever.

keep crying

Eh, whatever. You still can't sell plain and boring no matter how hard you try.

This.

It was really obvious both Chihiro and Elsie endings were part of this grand epic vision. What we actually got was like watching Wakaki have a nervous break down.

That's not an apology, that's understanding the situation.

>tfw we'll never get a final anime season to cover the last arc

she is the only one who fell for the real keima

>I know how I can salvage this!
>Time travel!
>...
>Why the fuck did I introduce time travel!

The las arch was shit. Why would anyone want that?
What i wanted was the mon and elsie's date episode, those were so good.
Also Yui's arc.

she and tenri

tenri a shit though

Salvage what? He was doing good and then fucked it up beyond recognition.

>Keima needed to apologize before getting with Chihiro
No.

yes

Yes, but the last arcs were way too dragged out and I was bored to death by the time it got to the finale.

I remember when TWOGOK was actually fun.

When did it stopped?

When the goddesses arc was ending and the waifu wars started.

>you know Keima, I really have fallen in love you, and I know now you weren't toying with my feelings out of any malice but were put into a position in which you had to play with women's hearts and woo them to save the world, and though I now kinda realize the situation you were in was hard on you, and though you've just expressed your true feelings for me, which is a big step forward for that guy I used to know but still fell for in a big way--that being a confident and assertive (yet coolly aloof) genius who inspired me to strive for something real and be a more serious person--before we go any further you're just gonna have to jump through my western-derived, post-modern feminist hoops now until I say the word "stop."
Yeah, really. No.

I still get a semi chub thinking about the autism and despair from the ending. We happy few fucking told you Chihiro was the obvious endgame but most of you refused to listen.

what the fuck am I reading

Take your meds user

it felt pretty damn abrupt

weirdest shit was elsie's. I just... what.

I guess it was ok

>m-muh femunisms
Fucking hell, take this shit bogeyman back to /r9k/.

A lengthier and more comprehensive reply to
>Keima needed to apologize before getting with Chihiro
than a simple "no."
What other reason is there for there to have been a requirement put on Keima to apologize to Chihiro for what he'd done?

Nah, I'm fine. I'd put it another way, but I've done that before without having it penetrate.

And apparently nobody else either, his new work is so irrelevant.

>apologizing for hurting someone's feelings
>"WESTERN RO-FEMISM HOOPS FUCKING SJWs GET AWAY GET AWAY"
wew

see? No real counter-argument, just more screeching.

a counter-argument would require an argument to counter

I honestly was hoping for more of a "I've saved the world, back to being a farmhand" ending wherein he just plays his vidya and ignores bitches

I never liked Chihiro on top of that

I put like six of them in my post above.

Keima didn't deserve a single girl he used or took a dump on. He was a jerk until the end. Chihiro should have rejected him and let him fester in the sting of rejection for the first time in his life, then go off with Ayumi and Yui and do karaoke, enjo kosai or whatever Japanese girls normally do for fun. LC is real imouto, Tenri lets her hair down, Shiori and Tsukiyo are buds, Kanon fucks her bosses.

While Keima is out for a walk sulking, he spots Miyako playing a PFP. She tries to hide it, but Keima prompts her to show it. She's really gotten into games lately, but she's a total noob. Keima's not so sure he's in the mood until he notes she too loves Yokkyun, sparking his interest into turning her into a fine otaku. He'll show her the world only god knows.

Why would Keima do that when he could come home to Chihiro every night?

>Kanon fucks her bosses
You just had to take it too far.

Fucking 3DPD won. The faggot had a loving 2D waifu & decided to go for 3D.

>when he could come home
Keima is obviously gonna be a NEET husband, user.

Chihiro will be the one earning the family's living.

Miyako best girl though. Pretty sure she was the only one who ever talked positively of Keima and never fell for him.

>wanting a bug ridden corpse for Keima's waifu

And they said shippers were awful.

terrible ending

my waifu was the dojo chick and she lost early on but still a terrible rushed ending

so many unanswered questions and loose ends

I always figured Keima would grow into his dream job creating the world's most complex galgames to be run on futuristic super-computers.

No it could have taken several different routes, instead we got the shitty time travel arc, and then it got axed and worst girl won out of left field.

>could have taken several different routes
>worst girl
>won out of left field

No but not because MUH AYUMI/MUH TENRI the right girl won. It sucked though because of how goddamn rushed everything was. That shit needed at least another volume to properly conclude. It wouldn't hurt so much if they didn't spend so goddamn long on namek.

Very yes. It was pretty obvious from far back, but it was still satisfying.

Yes and no. I was happy with his choice, but I felt it could've ended better

>almost 3 years
No no no no no don't do this to me now.

While the ending WAS admittedly rushed, it was consistent with the way Wakaki handled things before. When all the goddesses woke up, Keima wasn't part of the big battle. He always stood to the side and only did what he wanted to do. That's his character. Everything else was background noise to him.
I actually liked that the more fantasy or battle-manga elements were pushed aside. It was funny and made the story keep going.
But yeah, the time-travel arc was pretty meandering without a good objective to strive for.
I get it, it was a way to do a "save point - load" galge mechanic. But it was pretty wasted since Wakaki obviously didn't really know where he was going with it, keeping the whole thing unmotivated and aimless.

Anyone have long hairdo Chihiro? her bowl cut has been bothering me since forever

Elsie didn't win here.

Pretty much the same opinions as others here. Chihiro was best girl to end with, but the second it was announced that the series was ending, the now-final arc turned from a fun Kid Keima arc into a rushed nonsensical conclusion except for who he ended up with.

I wanted to see what Kaori grew up to be.

>I get it, it was a way to do a "save point - load" galge mechanic. But it was pretty wasted since Wakaki obviously didn't really know where he was going with it, keeping the whole thing unmotivated and aimless.
I mean, you're going to do that as basis for a whole arc, but not make a running commentary slew of 4th wall breaking in-jokes about it?

Step away from your monitor and look at it from a distance.

>I mean, you're going to do that as basis for a whole arc, but not make a running commentary slew of 4th wall breaking in-jokes about it?

They wouldn't work with Keima's state of mind and he's pretty much the only one who should be making them. I guess.

That's called obsession. It's unhealthy. She also barely knew him (original timeline, they shared ONE afternoon together in which Keima gave even the slightest shit)

You don't get what I'm saying. The annoying bastards on Sup Forums basically said Elsie was a mastermind orchestrating everything.

She wasn't. Frankly don't really understand what she was. A weapon, maybe. It was stupid and absolutely unneeded. Not interesting in the slightest, and not at all what people were theorizing. Didn't stop them from pretending they guessed the asspull. Saw "final boss" and said "good enough"

Her, Tenri, Haqua, Dokuro, Elsie, nearly all of the goddesses, etc.
