Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V

But you still take damage!!!

best boy

So is this show worth watching? I watched the original, GX and 5Ds. I liked 5Ds alot. Would this be an enjoyable watch?

watch the first arc then make up your own ending

Rurination

Enjoy the wild ride

The first 51 episodes are actually really good. Then it becomes meh for the next 40 or so and then kinda falls apart.

Though I'm not sure if bingeing the show on your first watch would produce a different opinion from those that had to sit week by week when it was amazing and watch it disintegrate into something tragic.

Maybe the drop off is less noticeable. I'd say go for it since you've already seen the others.

It starts out fine, has some fantastic moments, then it starts to putter out a bit, but still has some moments. Then it goes full on pants on heads retarded in a lot of places, but may have a moment here and there.

Its worth a watch really, its certainly better than ZEXAL, but its not First 65 episodes or so of 5Ds, S3/4 of GX or Battle City of DM.

>Ending in only 3 episodes.

How are they going to wrap up everything?

They won't.

My only hope for Reiji v Yuya duel is that Reiji summons extra deck pendulums and Yuya shits out Odd-Eyes Clear and Odd-Eyes Venom Dragon.

It's not better than anything.

>Last thread wasn't filled up
>Make a new one

Pretty desperate

You remember very little of ZEXAL then, especially the first half.

How's everyone handling the new field rules?

I don't play Yugioh so i don't give a fuck. At least the Anime will be more interesting now tho

Considering I rewatch Zexal often you're wrong. Zexal had build up and payoff. The first half had tons of intersecting characters who all had their own motives. All of the duels were personal from the WDC onward.

...

The first half of Zexal ran on a slow pacing, but it definitely introduced and developed the characters well.

>Better than ZEXAL

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Lets make our own version of YGO6 better than VRAINS

>5D's sequel
>mature plot
>female protagonist
>its Yusei's and Aki's daughter
>Synchros are forbidden in the future
>duelists find a new way to use tuners and special summon monsters from the Main Deck
>Yuna (Yusei's daughter) use a Fairy/Machine archetype
>fairy tuners sync with female robots to summon female counterparts of Yusei's Warriors based in the Precure franchise
>main villain wants to bring back Synchros and reboot the world with a new kind of Zero Reverse
>topsies dominate Neo Domino City again

Zexal at least had the courtesy of being bad at the beginning to make it easy for the disinterested to drop and move on. It also didn't hate its own original cast quite as much as Arc-V

I'm not going to try to offend you user, but this kind of thinking lead to the creation of post 1st year Arc-V, which was a disaster.

Sounds like cancer, I'd rather rewatch Arc-V or Capsule Monsters

Congratulations, you just made something worse than Arc-V.

Please fuck off. I'm surprised you didn't mention the ritual dimension.

I forgot to add her ace monster was an Stardust dragoness monster with humanoid body, but looks like no one liked my idea.

If Arc-V was well executed in two seasons without championships and EGAO it could have been pretty good, user.

Denying EGAO essentially means denying the entire existence of Arc-V after the first year, so its hard to argue about that potential "What if" for Arc-V.

Will ARC-V end with something like this? I don't care about Yuya and Yuzu anymore. Just give me something between Ruri and Ute which are a real couple

No. Arc-V is contractually obligated to not have nice things.

No they will stay dead. Bittersweet to the end.

Oh man, when did I cross over into the Dark Timeline where people find Zexal to be good in any way?

>Capsule Monsters
Is there a nip dub?

Believe x Believe or One Step?

I'm going with One Step since that played in the Arc-V 30-sec trailer.

>Zexal at least had the courtesy of being bad at the beginning to make it easy for the disinterested to drop and move on.
>tfw you're disinterested, but still have to watch it

>Yugioh anime
>good
It's all sub-par niche content in the broader perspective, but some niche trash is worse than others

I skipped One Step after the first couple viewings. Biri Biri is at least kinda catchy.

Xyz Dimension should have been the time Yuya's EGAO didn't work because it was a fucking dimensional war. Then he would slowly turn into Supreme King Zarc. with the influence of the ZETSUBOU.

Yuya x Yuri at the beginning of Fusion Arc, then everyone against Supreme King Dragon Zarc with a good design until the end.

But that would be good writing user, and we know Ono doesn't want that.

>because it was a fucking dimensional war
What war? By the time the lancers got there it was mostly barren and empty, with stragglers having a minor scuffle here and there. Fusion was also looking pretty empty since apparently Yuya converted a huge part of the Academia force back in Xyz and on his way to HQ.

Sounds shittier than Arc-V.

>More 5Ds dicksucking

No

One thing Arc-V was good at was building hype, and as a result that created a massive hype backlash.
When I looked back into the first year of Arc-V, it didn't look as good as I remebered, and there were a lot of dull episodes that didn't even involve dueling.

5Ds and Synchro was, is and will always be a mistake. - Sup Forumsrc-v 2k16-2k17

I have more problems with fem MC who is the daughter of the biggest sue in YGO.

But /dng/ loves 5D's for some reason. Its just here people hate Yusei & friends.

The Yuzu, Yuto, and Shun episodes without duels were the best episodes though

is this porn?

This is bad and you should feel bad.

Get the fuck out, Ono!

People hate Yusei because he does no wrong and never has any adversity. He's Card Game Jesus.

The first 50-60 episodes of 5Ds were fucking great, ya know before the whole Cult Shenanigans in Japan ruined everything.

Watch until the guy with the scarf activates an interdimensional portal. Alternatively, until the guy with the imouto complex fires an orbital laser during a card game on motorcycles. Then stop and make up your own ending.

Thats pretty much the problem with Arc-V, episodes that doesn't involve dueling or the protagonists were the most interesting.
The show spent too much time on pushing Yuya around for the first two years, and then suddenly praises everything Yuya does after the climax of the Synchro Dimension.

D's sequel
Fuck you. If I ever wanted a sequel of any Yugioh, Zexal would come first and 5D's dead last

It was definitely kinda interesting that things were happening around Yuya instead of because of him. A better writer could have written something amazing in terms of development for Yuya.

Is headcanon truly the definitive conclusion for arc-v?

We already got a 5D's sequel anyways! It's called ARC-V

Exactly

>If I ever wanted a sequel of any Yugioh, Zexal would come first and 5D's dead last
Now this is someone with the greatest taste. Congratulations.

Hi!

I've been rewatching large sections of the series for the episode guide, and the drop in content quality is weird as fuck. It gets really high in places (usually towards the end of an arc and near the start of the next one), but then goes to shit in the middle. For example, a couple of anons may remember me mentioning that I did a watch test of just skipping from Episode 50 to 101. The quality there wasn't actually all that different, and the character writing seemed to go relatively seamlessly (although there are obviously some weird parts like the flashbacks to Synchro). Other than Jack and Crow intruding later on, and the Zarc duel having lots of screentime for Enjoy and the kids, you could probably honestly skip Synchro wholesale and not really miss much. I won't be suggesting that in the guide itself because there are still a lot of good points within Synchro.

Some of the more irritating segments are about as irritating whether you watch them back to back or serialized. The BB arc in particular really hurts when watched this way, because it's basically 2-3 hours of watching this completely irrelevant shit. It also actually hurts the feel of some of the later episodes to not have the downtime between them, like the Leo duel and the Yuri duels, but it tremendously helps the Zarc duel to run through it all at once.

I personally think that a huge issue with Fusion arc is that it just has too much damn filler. This is supposed to be the fucking climax and we had enough time to waste over half a dozen episodes on Asuka/Yuri fighting jobbers (then each other), shill Gladiator Beasts, shill fucking Guardians of all things, Yusho making an idiot of himself, and a Pirate. This sort of filler would've been forgivable in the Synchro arc, hell, the Standard arc DID have this sort of filler.

tl;dr: Binge watching is generally not as painful as serialized watching, but Arc-V has such weird pacing and quality issues that it's always painful.

Oh, no... you are now chained to Arc-V just like us!

...

Evil Junko and Momoe. Underrated characters.

>now
Buddy I've been here since like episode 4, and I've been working on the guide since like episode 20.

>but it tremendously helps the Zarc duel to run through it all at once
This is exactly what I thought also. It wouldn't be as agonizing waiting weeks for characters to job and going through at once I would say Zarc's unexplained backstory, appearance, and motivations are only about as bad as Darkness and Z-One since you're not thinking about what could have been for weeks in between.

>But you still take damage!!!
Why did Arc-V abuse this line far more than any other series?

The pirate episode was fine. It was entertaining at least. The rest was indeed shit.

>Is headcanon truly the definitive conclusion for arc-v?
There is the manga(s).

Will Arc-V get a Master Guide like all the other series did? What cards could it include? For reference
>GX had Neos Wiseman and Divine Neos
>5Ds had Shooting Quasar Dragon and Sephylon
>Zexal had Utopia Beyond and CXyz Barian Hope

It's getting rushed, user.

Yeah. I personally think Darkness wasn't all that bad for what it was, but Z-ONE and Zarc both are helped tremendously when you just blaze through it in an afternoon.

Oh, I liked the pirate episode, as well as a couple of other episodes that I mentioned. I just think it was still filler where it had no real business being.

why would you say this?

Maybe 2 of the Supreme King Dimensional Dragons? Or whatever final boss monster Yuya and Reiji use in the final duel.

>Rushed
>Not "since time travel is a thing in this story, have them go to the future or an alternate timeline where they use the new field"
>No ARC-VRAINS

Either an Ultimate Odd-Eyes, Odd-Eyes Clear and/or Odd-Eyes Venom, extra deck DDD pendulums, or the Supreme King Servant versions of the 4 dragons.

As somebody that's seen every series, it's probably related to how Arc-V had the most destruction negation of any series.

Basically Future Odd-Eyes and D/D/Dragon?

This makes sense as destruction negations isn't as amazing as it was back then. Not to say it isn't still good but power creep and what not

Didn't the GX manga run through almost the entirety of the time 5D's was airing?

5D's didn't change the whole mechanic behind it drastically

I don't see why you're so infallibly confident on the future of Yugioh manga without any official statements or announcements to back it up. For all we know the rules in the manga will change inexplicably on mandates but continues its story as usual

Or it'll stay the same since no one actually cares about the rules in the manga. I doubt it'll be rushed also

hi guys

Hello best girl

Grace is yet another miracle that Arc-V doesn't deserve.

Can we get off this "it's better than ZEXAL" shit? It really is not. All of the quantifiers for that come down to personal preference for the tone and the character designs, and nostalgia for the first 51 episodes. But to say the first 51 episodes of this 125+ episode thing are better than another series of similar length and more consistent quality is pretentious.

It's fine if you like it better than ZEXAL, but don't just fucking lie.

Arc-V Tag Force you can date Grace and her sister, when?

...

>getting another tag force

Pretty much. I like Arc-V more for purely subjective reasons, but really Zexal is better

This is the most pathetic, pointless, bad, dull, unloved ""ace"" monster of all time. It will be completely forgotten come Vrains if it hasn't been already.

It's so shit, even Arc-V forgot about it, as the only times it was used in a duel after its debut were as Xyz material and against Leo where it jobbed like the cuck that it is. I mean, seriously. How atrocious do you have to be that your owner cheats on you with three executives AT ONCE?

And what's more, this is supposed to be the Blue-Eyes clone? Are you shitting me? Scarlight and Cipher Dragon had 100x more presence - Blue-Eyes clones from OTHER SERIES! So not only is it being cucked by Reiji and the Executives, but also by Odd-Eyes and the dragons!

Everything about this card is disgraceful and it disgusts me. May it be lost and buried in time.

calm the fuck down ragee

>this much assblast

>all those people who thought Ray and Zarc had a special relationship
>turned out it was just a random girl stopping a random dude from destroying the world

I love it. People were forcing them as much as they are forcing the Yus and Ruris.

...

The difference is that 3/4 of the Yu and Ruri pairs actually had some kind of relationship shown on-screen, even if only very briefly

technically the 2nd rival is usually more popular anyway

Cyber Dragons, Blackwings, Shark, and Road Raptors are more fun than the real rivals decks

They literally had the worst backstory I've ever seen. Even moreso with all the buildup and foreshadowing there was to them

Yuri and Serena never had a relationship because both are autists,

>Shun
>2nd rival

It was 1 full couple.
Yuya and Yuzu
Yugo had feeling for Rin but we didn't know how she felt
Yuto wasn't hinted at having any feelings for Ruri until the 100s. Long after they were treated as a couple by the fanbase.
Serena and Yuri don't even know each other.
