What' the truth of the statement though? The whole "no go zones" phrasing seems to be the cause of butthurt, but it just means a high crime area most law abiding people who have no other reason to be there would typically avoid. Like the black areas of old downtowns in the U.S.

How does that square with U.S. and soon Canadian moves to make recreational marijuana legal? The Dutch were for a long time at the forefront of that movement, and I can see it as a source of pride. Same with their tolerance toward prostitution. It's obvious though that the Dutch are falling behind the "progressive" waves. Maybe they think lax immigration is something to be "advanced" in.
