So i just finished Log Horizon season 2 and i really liked it. While the first season was great for actually using the rpg setting to its advantage and doing something more interesting with it, the second season was great for focusing more on the characters and their struggles.
Honestly, is there any hope for season 3? i mean, we have seen some crazier announcements for sequels to shows nobody expected (or wanted). Code geass r3 is an example of the unexpected sequel and Full metal panic gets another season after 12 fucking years. maybe 2023?
Gavin Cox
No because the author is in prison.
Matthew Cook
>Honestly, is there any hope for season 3? Not until we get more source material. The anime went beyond what Marmalade wrote.
It's an NHK show which means sales don't mean jack shit. It's literally government funded. It just happened to sell well which is a nice bonus. If NHK wills it they could reach out to Marmalade again for S3.
Levi Sanchez
Season 2 is a fucking disaster of a train wreck and killed any hope for season 3.
Matthew Young
> According to the prosecutor's office, Touno owes the Japanese government 30 million yen (around US$249,114) in taxes."[2] Some time after, the author apologized to his fans and stated in his official website that he filed and paid back his taxes, concluding the investigation. Prison, sure.
Jaxon Smith
Explain your personal opinion, please.
Cooper Cruz
It's a meme at this point. We still get regular web novel updates.
Colton Gutierrez
>personal opinion
You mean aside from the fact it sold like complete shit compared to season one? Season one was enjoyable because of Shiroe, whereas season two focused on all the bullshit that nobody cares about, like fucking epic hard raids which has zero viewer investment. Even season one tried to do a bit of this and it was the worst part of the entire show. Literally the most boring shit ever put together, and DEEN didn't help there.
Matthew Martinez
Good shit, glad you got excellent taste user.Like the other user said, there arent enough source. Though NHK cooperating again with him might be hard this time since he got that tax issue, wouldnt want the kids get influenced by that.
How much of the web novel content are out now volume wise? 2-3 volumes might be alright for another season.
Angel Young
>2-3 volumes might be alright for another season. If I remember right season 1 was volumes 1-5. Season 2 was 6-10, but they skipped a majority of 9.
I believe we still need more source material. I don't actually know how far we are right now, but the updates are happening.
Jonathan Collins
No. After the author was arrested his work is tainted in the eyes of many people. It's really, really unlikely we'll ever be seeing a third season.
Connor Diaz
>volumes 1-5 Well, shit There is still hope if the volumes got enough content needing flashbacks and use of directing magic(fight could be made longer, etc). >fan translation ded after no translation for a while Welp.
Matthew Morris
The TL died because YP picked up the novels and they go after the groups that do them. It was only one guy doing the TL, but he stopped for that reason. It's your usual support the English release excuse.
Jeremiah Ramirez
How is the content in the novels, post season 2? Is it good? has something interesting happened?
Camden Gutierrez
Isn't he still writing the web novel?
Any chance of more Henrietta?
Nolan Gonzalez
>Isn't he still writing the web novel? He is
Nicholas Price
It's a shame that she's more of a side character than Marielle. She's helped ground Shiroe in reality a couple times.
Wyatt Robinson
>sharing a loveseat Just fuck already.
Brody Martinez
Everyone around them can see the sexual tension.
Levi Hughes
I would bang the every loving shit out of that lolihag.
Gavin James
I love this so much.
Jacob Taylor
So much care was put into their living space.
Jeremiah Robinson
Comfy as fuck.
Dylan Cox
It's wonderful.
Leo Cook
> Author got caught with tax evasion > Tax evasion means not giving money to the government > Aired on NHK (owned by Japan's government)
Do the math user.
Asher Collins
There are way better women in love with him.
Julian Smith
> Not the princess
C'mon lad, not gonna take advantage of royalty?
Sebastian Sanchez
Imouto tier
Chase Peterson
Minori, get off the computer
Juan Martinez
Why not both
Luke Brown
Pretty much this. Both seasons were funded on the basis that it was an educational show, you can't promote such a show when the author has had problems with tax evasion. It's over for the anime.
Matthew Edwards
did they think the whole "build an economy from scratch" was educational?
Jonathan Long
So I heard this basically the exact same premise as Sword Art Online only it doesn't tend to complete garbage after 13 episodes
Daniel Ortiz
It was more about cooperation and frienship, but that works too.
Luis Bennett
Not even. The whole situation was overblown by literal clickbait articles. He had solved the whole situation long before the story broke.
>you didn't pay you taxes >I thought he studio was doing it >no you have to do it >okay I'll do it.
That's all it was.
Henry Howard
So he paid his taxes and the was no problem then?
David Ross
Exactly
Brayden Roberts
Reinessia is cute, but to be honest she's not even my favorite lazy, smug, sleepy, NEET princess.
Noah Thompson
>this is how they want to teach jap kids cooperation and friendship Damn, why can't we have shows like that?
Adam Reyes
Minori is also a loli, and thus inferior.
Austin Sanders
Minori will grow up into an old hag someday, while Akatsuki will stay small and cute forever. Akatsuki wins!
Asher Barnes
The Princess belongs to Krusty, who is based.
Bentley Bell
Nippon autism stronk though
Kevin Davis
Krusty was easily best boy.
Isaiah Campbell
> she's not even my favorite lazy, smug, sleepy, NEET princess
Ay, but name another princess can motivate over 1,000 people to fight. Pro-tip: you can't.
Kevin Sanchez
>nippon autism No just tabloid autism
Michael Jackson
MOOOOOOOOOOOT
Dominic Reyes
No, Akatsuki will just wither into an even tinier and shorter hag with a bent back.
Henrietta will remain stately and beautiful forever. And Nureha will always know how to appeal no matter her age.
Blake Nelson
Season 1 great season 2 not so much but still league above than every "Trap in the video game" anime in terms of writing stand point. Is LH can be considered isekai?
William Brown
This thread needs some best "girl"
Jason Green
Euphie
Xavier James
...
James Garcia
They should animate WWB. I never really appreciated it at the time, but when you think about it Souji is surrounded by all these great girls.
William Moore
Forgot this show had traps
Grayson Thomas
It's a genderbend, it's what happens when Sup Forums gets thrown into an MMO with their healslut character.
Josiah Rodriguez
> Crunchyroll didn't even bother to hide this
Jace Robinson
Funny thing is, a lot of them aren't even interested in him personally.
Levi Lopez
Yeah. I remember mention of other girls joining to make passes at the girls that surround him.
David Russell
Spoiler alert!
Samuel Foster
>Log Horizon will never become the Shiroe harem it was meant to be >It'll be all lolis all the time Why even do this.
Luis Hernandez
Sword art online was garbage from episode 1 onwards. Log horizon does everything that SAO did, but so much better. Comparing the two is like comparing shit like code geass to masterpieces like gundam and legend of the galactic heroes.
Ayden Kelly
>Reinessia Wasn't it Leinessia?
Leo Robinson
The awkward vanilla love between a jew and his chuuni midget that we got is better than that.
Jaxson Lopez
Yes, if the characters are trapped in another world, then it is isekai.
Samuel Hernandez
I want to fuck her boipussy!
Hudson Edwards
It's actually Rayneshia.
Jose Robinson
SAO is part action, part thriller, part soap opera that just happens to take place in an MMO. It was bad from the very first episode, it just took people a whole season to realize it. Log Horizon is an adventure that's first and foremost about gamers. It didn't start with a bang, and it didn't need to, it's something that you're in on for the journey.
Eli Myers
That sounds like an ebonics name
Nathaniel Sanders
...
Jose Davis
Im pretty sure that in the anime, they call her princess Lenessia.
Parker Johnson
Foxtail Bard Courtesan here.
Connor Thompson
Her name is spelled レイネシア. I don't know that Mamare has ever given an official English spelling for her name.
Connor Mitchell
>I believe we still need more source material
We could always do a shorter season while they drum up more book. Instead of waiting for one 26 episode run we could do more 13 episode runs with less wait time between
Nicholas James
I wish I had a pocket ninja
Connor Ortiz
A pity evasion tanks tend to be shit
Benjamin Diaz
Sounds like the name for a bad mobile game.
Jace Morris
Is that a pocket ninja in your pants or are you just happy to see me?
Robert Jackson
...
Zachary Jackson
Well, it's one of those L/R problems again (like with death notes, Light or Raito). In English she is called Lenessia, and I think she is called Rayneshia.
Owen Martin
I would love to lick her belly.
Julian Bailey
Worldbuilding like this makes SAO look like a shitty, self-insert fanfic (which it totally is). I don't play RPGs, and even I can tell that SAO is full of shit. The author was probably a low level nobody in a second rate JRPG and wrote a fanfic about a edgy boy who is a literary solo-Jesus in the game world (and screw the RPG rules, he will make it work). Then he submitted it to that writing competition, and a bunch of teenage losers though that Kirito is such a great character, because it is easy to selfinsert in a bland, power-fantasy mc. And that is how this shit became so famous. Meanwhile, Log Horizon has characters with actual personalities and problems, while having amazing worldbuilding, that uses all the game nuances to further the story.
Henry Thomas
And that cute, little tsundere butthole of hers.
>m-my lord, no! It's filthy down there (blushes).
Jaxon Rogers
Wasn't there some other side material to go by as well? One of the main draw of the series is how much EU shit there is.
>they actually did the kemono girl I was so happy, even if it was just a still.
Grayson Martin
Also Summoner master race.
Elijah Long
I'm pretty sure the animators didn't have any of that in mind at all.
Liam Wilson
...
Brayden Gray
The amount of blushing she would do, when someone eats her out, would be so cute.
Leo Adams
This is a Maid Ninja Assassin, say something nice about her.
John Richardson
Almost as cute as Marielle.
Camden Young
The Child Characters were a mistake.
Jack Reed
I like that her hair looks like a dust mop.
John Torres
You never see her clean up
Christian Price
...
Dylan Wood
SAO is about getting trapped in a game. Log Horizon is about a game becoming real.
Aiden Ward
Best moment in the entire series. Prove me wrong.
Protip: You can't.
Angel Brooks
I want to have rough anal sex with this little porker.
Aiden Fisher
Teasing Demidemi during the second season was the best. It's this face, the laugh, and the sfx they use that makes the whole scene.
