Does this fix the WebM problem?
Not related but why cant it play in 2x speed like youtube does without distorting the audio?
installed and already 3 crashes, fml
>not using mpv
What's wrong with CCCP?
It comes bundled with a lot of stuff that MPC already carries in its standard package. It's not necessarily bad, but it's obsolete.
At least that's what I was told.
Use VLC for that. But it's not suitable for H.264.
Noice, been using nightly and feels like forever for it to be updated. Now I see that it got updated in the past 2 weeks.
Never encountered colour issue playing webm, can post the file?
I can't because it involves cute girls with big dicks. It only happens to some webms, but they get all messed up on the player despite playing perfectly on my browser.
Post it on /gif/ then and link it here.
mpv + KrigBilateral.glsl + SSimSuperRes.glsl + adaptive-sharpen.glsl
Are you lost?
>CP
Not falling for it, FBI.
Supposedly you should be able to switch the audio renderer to MPC internal or something to do that. Seems like it might only be in the nightly build, since I still don't see it with this update.
It can do that if you use the Internal Audio Renderer. But I think you also have to use the Internal Subtitle Renderer to keep subs from breaking, and I'm not sure how much worse that is than xy-VSFilter or whatever
>not using mpv
Here, I found a substitute with the same issue.
Oh, I was looking in the wrong spot.
Meh, VLC is all I need.
Does your VLC distort videos to 1280x738 as well?
I've seen it in a lot of screenshots on Sup Forums. What's up with that anyway?
Works on my PC™
Nothing wrong with the colour (latest nightly build 64 bit).Your hardware renderer maybe?
Here if you want to compare.
It has funny voice. Is it must to have madVR?
Well, I'll try the new version and see if it helps.
Something to do with the screencap saving I think. The color is the same as yours when I'm playing it.
>anime
>adaptive-sharpen
End your life.
Your shits fucked.
Well, it doesn't work. What's this about a "hardware renderer"?
Graphic driver or its vram dying.Had those in previous lav version using nvidia cuvid.
pic related
It's an EVR issue.
VMR9 works fine.
Who is this girl?
user recording his masturbating face using something.
EVR also works fine on mine.
Redditgahara
driver updates? possibly some shit's fucked up on your end.
It's your graphics driver issue
Messing around with those settings seems to have fixed it, anons. Much appreciated. The (renderless) gave me bad stutter, but some other options seem to work perfectly.
Thanks a lot.
I'm not using hardware acceleration.
Give me a minute, and I'll test it on my laptop which has switchable graphics (AMD/Intel).
Nope, it works for me with this default Enhanced Video Renderer (custom presenter) too. If it doesn't for you then I have no idea
I just remembered the problem I had before though, that you can't take screenshots with subs if you use the Internal Subtitle Renderer. You can do that with xy-VSFilter, but then the subs will break if you increase the speed. So there's no way to have everything perfect as far as I can tell
Forgot the screenshot (not that it's necessary)
>mpc-hc creates issues
>mpv solves issues
>spending hours reading documentation and setting up config files
>not spending 5 minutes copy-pasting one from Sup Forums's archive
newfag spotted
>b-but it's easier
Literally the same mentality as VLCfags.
>not just using profile=opengl-hq
>copy-pasting settings without knowing how anything works
>not using superior mpc-be
It just werks, user. Do you have some retarded plugins installed or what?
>>not using superior mpdn
>not using windows media player
>plays the video once, then closes
Into the trash it goes.
It's your graphics driver, it doesn't matter if you don't use hardware acceleration
EVR depends on the graphics driver
doesn't close on my machine
Go use VLC then, brainlet.
Better yet, just stream your anime. No thinking needed!
>trusting the foss jew
I want to try this mpv, post configs to me know what I should look at in the manual.
Actually it just werks.
Spending hours/days reading documentation is simply the way to optimize for it. Its not like people are born with innate knowledge about madvr or mpc-hc options. Its the same with mpv.
>i want it to stay open
keep-open=yes
>needing a fucking instructions manual because the devs are too hipster to implement a GUI
>not for mac
Terrible media player
>no border so I have to alt+F4 when it's done
>no loop playback
>controls disappeared
>mac
Irish people not welcome.
>Implement a GUI
There is a GUI enabled by default.
>Being so stupid and illiterate that you can't read documentation or use a config file
Yet you will happily spend hours "properly" setting up madVR. Why don't you just admit that you don't want to spend any time learning something new, even if it's better, because you're lazy and okay with what you have now? At least then you'd be honest and dumb instead of dishonest and and dumb.
>no border so I have to alt+F4 when it's done
q
>no loop playback
ctrl+l
>controls disappeared
I use my own osc.lua
>No border so I have to alt+f4
Try Q or going into the config and enabling the border.
>No loop playback
Try reading the manual and setting it to loop by default.
>Controls disappear
Try learning the simple keyboard commands for pause/play, quit, and fullscreen (p, q, f)
Try moving the mouse.
>alt+f4
There's the Q key you know.
>controls disappeared
arrow keys to move back-forward? space to pause/play?
Why are there so many brainlets on Sup Forums these days?
Could someone explain what xysubfilter and madVR do to improve mpc-hc? It seems pretty good to me as is.
why not VLC?
nothing. It's especially good if you're a tech retarded and/or running on a toaster
Scaling of subtitles and video, respectively.
>tfw not smart enough to understand video player and codec jargon so I've just been using the same install of KCP for at least 4 years
>Yet you will happily spend hours "properly" setting up madVR.
Literally 2 minutes setting the options up.
Post your MPV configs
I know how all of my copy-pasted settings work.
Because it is shit.
Issues = solved.
>slowdowns
>artifacts
Cinematic as fuck.
I'm still on KCP on windows 7 and honestly I never had any issue of any sort.
If it ain't broke I'm not going to fix it.
Modern people get anxious if their software doesn't automatically update every 6 months.
Even VLC does a better job.
In the past the default sub renderer couldn't render everything properly but I think its fixed now.
madVR is used for its better upscaling algorithms but it can also add some filters etc.
screenshotcomparison.com
Basically if you don't have a low-end gpu, depending on the upscaling algorithm you selected your video will look better when you fullscreen it.
Go back to Sup Forums alex.
I'll stick with the update I have as well as VLC and streaming.
It only takes 6 minutes max to optimize VLC for the best settings... or settings that suite you. You wouldn't know that because typical Sup Forumsutist are lazy.
Haven't updated my MPC, madVR and xy in what feels like at least 3 years. Shit just works, I ain't changing anything.
xy is kill anyway.
If you want alternative for xy you can use AssFilterMod which is still in development.
Is there a significant difference between VLC and MPC?
Someone post a side by side comparison to settle this.
well staring at static image won't help you much but here you go:
screenshotcomparison.com
also VLC can't jump into specific frame of a video
...
Does this release update the ugly gui mpc has?
You can use your own toolbar.
trac.mpc-hc.org
mpv > mpc = vlc
Ничего, товарищ.
It's called modularity, a common design philosophy on *Nix systems. If you want a full gui, you get a seperate program like SMPlayer that uses mpv as the backend.
