I share your feelings. I think I like it because it's kinda like the ginger anime of the season, it's a palette cleanser. The story beats are slow and presented in a non dramatic way, dialog isn't made out of people yelling at each other, the visuals are pretty nice but in a simple kind of way etc.

It's just nice.

That's also possible. But Otus being the true heir is somewhat a matter of opinion. They are - in the eyes of the state - not related to the king in any way. Proving otherwise or gaining the traction to not have to prove it would be extremely hard.

This show is so comfy. I like the soft art and colors, the groovy and laidback soundtrack. The plot is not mindblowing or anything but not boring either. I like the slow pacing, reminds me of older shows and movies. But then again, I like those kind of older shows.

Even the kingdom itself is weird, because you got one part of it that might as well be any modern nation yet at the same time another part of it that's still the 18th century and while that is going on the kingdom also has a land of Giants inside it. As if that wasn't enough you also got Switzerland and Hawaii inside the kingdom as well. It just doesn't make sense
