I would assume so, at least for this particular thing. There were and probably still are people who shilled the wordpress copies and pdf copies here for months. I think that's the only purpose of the /sig/ threads since they're the only ones who still spread it.

Yeah, pretty much, this. Is there a way to redo it with the actual passage / citation for credibility purposes? How different is the meme from the actual translation? I understand that they might contain the same main message, but in an information war, solidity of truth is paramount.
Part of the reason that the "commies" are losing, is that they have become the fucking bullies and haters that they claimed to be fighting against. Either way, a simple correction is all that's needed here. If it's a french->english translation of an actual quote, then just find the french section and cite it.
