The Ukraine is the story of a country so abuse by the Jews (holodomor, soviet purges) that the entire country is fucked for the foreseeable future.
It’s a shame because it’s a beautiful country with beautiful women. I’d love to visit it. Sevastopol looks beautiful from what I’ve seen.

Unironic meme answer is that ukraine is hopelessly corrupt, engaged in a war and the land was simply carved up around a recently created (at the time) culture and not resources or something else that makes sense
