I like people like the doctor from monster or samurai jack, who are pretty quiet but handle things.

but i like characters like takeP, onizuka, kenshiro, juuza (hnk anime version), harima kenji, just to name a few

they just have to not be a generic dimwitted pussyfooting dingdong who is absurdly oblivious and indecisive and "is just watching out for sanctity of his club/justice/hobby/shoes/whatever"
