Sukoi SU 25 with a chain gun.
too many witnesses saw it.
All the info on the SU was changed online to limit its ceiling height.

>shot down in attempt to assassinate Putin

Well now the Ruskies are getting ridiculous. :D

>Not remembering the Luganda separatist tweet bragging about shooting down a ukrainian plane that was deleted 10 minutes later

there was no such tweet

Who does russia think they are fooling?
there are even pictures of the missile launcher that did it being hauled off missing one of its missiles.

...

A bunch of faggots blind-fired a SAM without external radar unit and without designated command vehicle..

The actual nobody that pushed the button and his squad are probably somewhere in a shallow grave, the real question is who gave them the order and how far up the chain of command was that.. The answer to that question is very unlikely to ever become public knowledge.

russian soldiers who got hold of ukrainian SAM missile system

it's not like there are other realistic options

I remember hearing this that summer. It was touted as one of the questions that a Russian official read off to the global communities who rushed to blame Russia. They make a pretty convincing case that Russia wasn't involved.

>flying over designated war-zones

flight programmers were the actual faggots

People fly over 'designated' war zones all the time.. Ukraine did not close their airspace, but merely warned that there were some incidents with militairy planes being downed. Some EU airlines did keep flying over eastern Ukraine, others ceased. In retrospect it's easy to say that everybody should have stopped flying there, and that Ukraine should have closed their airspace, especially given then the fact that they KNEW there was SAM activity in the area, as they were losing militairy jets there on the regular...

At the same time, what I posted still holds true, and it's very unlikely that anyone expected anyone to start launching SAMs at airborne targets they could not actually see or identify.

I doubt any side in this war planned on shooting down a plane with civilians, so it doesn't fucking matter one bit.
It's a war and everyone who moves in the war zone is risking to be shot at.
Which military in this world can say without lying that it never killed civilians accidentally in a war? Right, no one.

>I doubt any side in this war planned on shooting down a plane with civilians, so it doesn't fucking matter one bit.

Someone took the risk though.. Someone put a weapon system in place that increased the likelyhood of something like this happening significantly. Maybe some general, maybe some rogue unit commander, maybe some FSB or CIA cunt, but somewhere, someone fucked up.. And ideally, that person will be brought to justice.

Not that it'll ever happen, but still. Ideally.

Doesnt work. cant blind fire them.

More interesting question is who guided the missile? It's not a rifle point and shoot

Eventually we will knoe who did it, but we can find out why they did, cause the geopolitical causes are on plain view.

drunk russians obviously

That't the kind of things that have been going on in this war:

There is no justice in wars. Anyone who isn't deeply invested in the cause of some war should better fuck off.

I think Russia right now just have this situation when right hand doesn't know what left hand is doing

designated

command

vehicle

>Doesnt work. cant blind fire them.

From what I understand most SAM systems, like the BUK that was allegedly used to down MH17, need a radar outpost that can identify a target, launch vehicle to fire at it, and a command vehicle to relay communications between the two and to verify identification. The launch vehicles are equipped with radar, but those tracking radar systems don't enable you to identify much more about the target other than the fact it's there. Normally a radar outpost or vehicle would identify target based on size, speed, altitude and (especially in case of a commercial jet) transponder data. Commander uses this data to determine whether or not to fire.

It's being alleged that in this case, the launch vehicle crew fired at an airplane without actually knowing what it was, using just the tracking radar on the launcher.

Thats what happens when you give russian militias AA rockets. They get drunk and mistake a comercial plane for a ukrainian warplane.

The west wants to assassinate Putin because he won;t take the WW3 bait.
