The only proper way to watch anime is printing every frame using a woodblock print, hiring a traditional koto player to perform the OST and paying amateur Japanese voice actors to read an English translated script in the style of Kabuki as you flip through the pages very fast with your fingers. You can dub the MC yourself for extra immersion.

>Anyone saying otherwise is just being a contrarian pleb.
Not true. VLC has some problems that other, "superior" media players don't, like whitewashing dark areas. I'm a pleb faggot who's ok with mediocrity so I use VLC, so I don't know the extent of how much of a difference there is, but if you're really anal about video quality then there are better alternatives to VLC

This.

I once torrent an anime and my pc exploded.

Why would I worry about the insect porn?

>You don't have to worry about downloading (...) insect porn.

Because you didn't know about it. Now that you do, worrying is all you'll do.

Media Player Classic Home Cinema.
Preferable a version from a couple of years ago for less bloat.

I use to use VLC but changed to MPV and it's no different to VLC's quality.

That media player that turns everything into 60 FPS videos.

I use VLC.
