Whoever the hell ruined America by turning it into an authoritarian state. Even if I'm the one in power, America's democracy has been ruined, because now the stage has been set up for people to try to assassinate me and take my power. Then what happens when I'm gone, either because of assassination of death by old age? A scramble for power as all my generals and advisors unleashed hell and split America up over their petty squabbles. We would never be able to return to a democracy without a LOT of bloodshed.
