Korea has few natural resources, and with Samsung they are rather irrelevant. Their large corporations are subsidized by tax dollars, and their manufacturing is done in China.

You don't need to annex them for that. Men and women can be levied as tribute too. Women were often levied as tribute, some people say that's why country-folk and Koreans are generally unattractive.
Vietnam is like Afghanistan; near impossible to rule. However, they are a decent market and are great for cheap(er) labor, hence why China has set up many factories there (they are now being moved to Cambodia and elsewhere, due to rising labor costs in Vietnam).
You can't annex either Vietnam or Korea without wholesale force-relocating the population or ethnically cleansing it. China MIGHT do the former if there is sufficient reason to do so (there isn't for the time being), but they do not have the drive to do the latter, unless you count gradually breeding them out of existence after a few generations.

There are some other factors to take into account like China fully annexing large parts of Eurasia after genociding indians and japanese. The older generation of Chinese may hate the Japanese, but even they can't stop buying 'Japanese' goods (actually made in China, exported to Japan, then imported back, kek). The younger generation seems as fond of Japanese media as their western counterparts. I don't think the Chinese would genocide the Japanese, maybe humiliate them, but not eradicate them.
Indians are likely a different story, however. Unlike the west, East Asians don't have engineer/doctor Indian immigrants, so their entire exposure to Indian is through visiting them in their natural habitat (rather filthy) and curry (Japanese curry generally preferred to Indian curry)
