My mate Dave.

Me

Fuku-chan

Gotta be Dave.

Manga gets no respect on Sup Forums, even though it's the superior medium.

Maybe Hiroshi Takahashi given how often I re-read his stuff. Maybe Tsutomu Takahashi, FKMT and possibly Akira Miyashita in terms of number of different series by the same author I've enjoyed.

Jiro Matsumoto

Is this the best manga of Igarashi Daisuke?
I find his stories a little boring.
Drawings are amazing tho

Children of the Sea is considered his claim to fame, it's quite good too.
I like his short stories the most though.

Kitoh
Asano
Takahashi Tsutomu
Toume Kei
Matsumoto Taiyou
Tamura Yumi

That user's mate Dave's gotta be the best I reckon.
For real though Araki's been trucking along for 3 decades and has only been getting better and better. I realize faggots have gotta bring up Jojo whenever they can but Araki really is one of the best.

He's inspired by Miyazaki....dropped

Tsuru Daisaku is pretty underrated

But the best mangaka remains Inoue Takehiko

>Tsuru Daisaku
Is his untranslated work some sort of masterpiece, or are you seriously telling me that Nachun is a personal favorite of yours?

Yeah he did say Totoro was the reason he pursued a manga career. I think his background in fine arts makes his work very interesting though.
Also, Miyazaki is a god-tier mangaka, stop being an elitist.

>Asano
I can not accept that.
He doesnt even know how to draw. He uses photoshop for every single page. It's like saying Hiroya Oku is good at drawing

25 chapter of nacuN have been translated.
it is good.

>He doesnt even know how to draw
> He uses photoshop for every single page
Who gives a shit what he uses?

>It's like saying Hiroya Oku is good at drawing
I don't even remember where I said Asano is good at drawing (that's because I never did), but if you think his pages look a tenth as bad as Oku's, you're blind.

Also, I have Tamura fucking Yumi on there and you go after Asano's art skills?
It's pretty damn average. I can accept people liking things I don't, but for something that unremarkable to singlehandedly put a guy on the map for best mangaka ever is hard for me to swallow, frankly.

E.l james

Is this what he's been up to lately?

Being on another level

youtube.com/watch?v=cz4D0RFmITM

Nope...he's training a basketball eam of disabled people
that's his true passion

>running photographs through filters
>adding details to filtered photographs
>skill
Your opinion doesn't matter to me.

You really like responding to things I never claimed, don't you?

The name of the pic
you win

he's such a faggot with no true talent

Ito junji

good pick.

Araki
Shinichi sakamoto

the world is mine - arai hideki

Story 11/10
characters 12/10
Drawings overall 10/10
chara design 7/10

final → 10/10

Oh, boy, it's this fucking faggot again. I'm glad you stopped spamming, at least.

Jiro Matsumoto is easily the best artist over there, along with Inoue and Boichi

What? the only good threads here are the manga ones

Boichi's stories are pretty damn bad, though.

did you miss me?
it's being months since i spammed

I have dropped this manga no less than three times. How far in does it start becoming interesting? Or should I not even bother if it doesn't click from the start?

>Shonen Jump threads
>good

But his girls make you hard

> the only good threads here are the manga ones
As you can see from this thread full of "my friend Dave," "Miyazaki... dropped," and ESLs. Also, I'd say just drop it now if you're not interested. I should have done that, it's really in the same vein from the start.

After the first volume...just pass that

Dave.

Any love for Morita? Dude's has the perfect combination of draftsmanship and detail, and his stories aren't bad either. I wish the one about the stand-up comedian was translated.

Please fuck off of Sup Forums already.

Kuroda

I wish he'd continue Sexy Voice & Robo. Or at this point, just do another original series - what's he even been up to aside from that Appleseed adaptation?

I also wish the last section of Tengu Party had been less 2deep.

okay

Yukinobu Hoshino.

Ashinano

So far,
>Kenji Tsuruta
>Daisuke Igarashi
>Panpanya
I'm slowly getting into manga.

Seiman Douman, probably

I think the English companies publishing manga should publish those series featured in the Manben manga documentary that are not yet localize to maximize profits

>to maximize profits
What? How exactly is being featured in Manben a good sign of money-making potential? A number of them are obscure as fuck in the West, and the show itself is some minor shit that isn't being translated legally, and wasn't even being sold on DVD until like last month.

Pictured: the work of a ten-year-old Kentarou Miura

That landscape really has some intrigue to it.

Asano's character drawings are good.

This.
I can accept the photoBGs because it allows an artstyle that would be borderline impossible to do with deadlines, and also that he's up front about it and doesn't try to hide it.

Minoru Furuya.

Masamune Shirow
Junji Ito
Kaoru Mori
Keiichi Arawi
Makona

I like Takehiko Inoue's art, but I haven't read Vagabond yet. I also like Hajime Ueda's art, but he hasn't really done much outside the FLCL adaptation.

>Makona
Who?

Mokona, my bad on the spelling. She does most of the artwork for Clamp. Her early stuff is great, but the overall quality has gone down since she got arthritis.

Naruto

No Hideo Yamamoto yet?

Dissapointed

Amano

>tfw never pay attention to who the mangaka are for the story I'm reading
The few who I do remember are Q. Hayashida, Junji Ito and Miura

How? Is your memory just bad in general? Do you never like a story/artstyle and pick up other stuff by the mangaka? This just seems bizarre to me.

Your mum lmao

Are you a frog?

I don't even know why he is so hyped in France.

I don't even like Matsumoto much, but frogs are far from the only ones who do.

Douman, always.

>pick up other stuff by the mangaka
Nope, never really crosses my mind to do this after I finish a manga.
I'm also awful with Japanese names, so even if I do look them up there's a solid chance I'll just forget it right away.

You user. You are my favorite mangaka.

Meme mangaka, honestly. One of the worst.

Nice shitpost.

Adachi Mitsuru

are you a girl?

tsukushi akihito

Urasawa
I just feel like he has so much range.

Well, I guess some people could die from their hideousness.

Jiro Taniguchi, he was an incredibly versatile mangaka, with a bunch of great mangas under his belt.

source on that scan?

A storytime-user on /tg/. You might need to search the archive. It was broken into two threads.

Sui ushida all the way
Ouh yeah and takeshi obata

Actually, because I just love Orion that much, I'll save you and other anons the trouble.

Mizukami
Toume Kei
Andou Yuki
Samura
Ozaki Kaori
Urushibara Yuki

Man, I feel so bad that Appleseed never really took off, so Shirow is just that "Ghost in the Shell guy". The amount of fucking though that man put into every mech, gun or any of his futuretech is mind blowing.

His fetish for toned girls was also a nice plus.

>nekojiru
genuinely, my favorite mangaka.
Is something wrong with me?

Hiro Mashima

How can this user can be so incompetent and retarded? Did you even see Naoki Manben with Asano?

>ctrl -f
>osamu tezuka

Classic manga gets no love here.

Classic manga gets plenty of love. He's just the favourite of nobody else in this thread. So what?
