This was a really nice moment. It may not be the most complex plotline, but I found myself really invested in the story of the two Kasumi sisters, and there isn't really a better ending to it. Yozora and Mahiru probably also have two of my favourite songs in the series so far. I'm cautiously optimistic for where this leads in the future and you guys can't stop me.

One final bit of blogposting, I've really enjoyed catching up with stars. I remember when I started to fall behind it was because I wasn't sure if I was feeling it, but I can say with some confidence now, for me at least, Stars is capturing some of the magic from the original series. Coming home after shit days knowing that I had some episodes waiting for me made everything a little better. And when those episodes where everything fell into place came about, it was great. Even if I don't think I'll like the next step, I'm still looking forward to the step after that and the one after that. I just hope there are more strides than stumbles. Or something, I'm not too good with words.

I'm glad you're liking it and are caught up in time. I think everybody just wants to have fun in whatever way they can. The Kasumi sisters plot was a great example of how to make use of original songs to tell a story. Mirai Transit, Summer Tears Diary, and TSU-BO-MI were all leading up to this moment throughout the series. I felt like the most tragic part of last episode was how Mahiru knew right away that Yozora would be leaving and couldn't even say anything after she won. Also hanging the drawing she did with Yozora in her room and showing it every so often kept her goal in sight the entire time. It's just too bad Yozora will be missing Koharu on the way over.

Yes I admit individuals matter in a unit, I might have tried to put my point over a bit too strongly, but there's a reason I said A rank and S rank rather than D rank and S rank. But it's not the only thing that matters in a unit, a team comprised of the best football players in the world could still lose to a better trained team. Hell, here's a real life example, Leicester City won the premier league last season more due to their strength and cohesiveness as a team than the individual talent of their players.

Wonder if they're gonna set up the next season at all, or if they're gonna wait to introduce anyone new.

The scene after Mahiru wins might be my favorite scene in the whole show. It was such a perfect ending to Mahiru and Yozora's story line and shows how much Mahiru grew since her initial angsty introduction. I was expecting it to be a regular "pls dont go" scene, but Mahiru defending Yozora's decision despite the fact that Yozora leaving Mahiru to be an idol was the initial cause of Mahiru's angst was heartwarming. My favorite story line in the show.

Reminder that Yozora threw the match making any emotional value and genuineness of the scene void as it was crafted through her devious manipulation instead of honesty and truth.

I didn't even think of that, Even though for me it's only been a few weeks, it feels like it's been forever since the Mahiru and Yozora reconciled and stood on stage together for the first time. That makes it even nicer.

She realized that her rival to be is a fucking autist on becoming her onee-san and would bring Karate bricks everywhere anytime. Even the songs are fucking worse than gothic n'roses.

Aikatsu became a kill in 2016 of course it's a bad year.

To me Stars isn't as good as the original, but I still enjoy it quite a bit. I may be very frustrated with it at the moment, but it's still one of the shows I look forward to most each week actually I'm behind on almost everything this season, but I still manage to wake up early every Thursday morning for my weekly dose of Stars.

Its more like she put up a no fun allowed front when she was doing business, even though a top idol is supposed to appeal to everyone. She only let her guard down during the cruise, but then she put it right back up with the "haha do your own shit, we rivals again" like 5 minutes later.

Its no wonder she couldn't find someone to ease her loneliness until Mikuru.

I really don't get this, individual competition episodes have kind of sucked but apart from building up and letting down Janice as an antagonist the series overall has been great, with the competition a fitting conclusion to the "become kami idol" thing that's been their goal from the beginning.

I haven't been let down by more than one episode in a row, and even then they were at least acceptable.

For me the only episode I've really liked was Salami vs. Tricolore, pretty much what you said. The performance in the latest episode was 10/10 but I didn't really care about the rest of it.
