It's the part when Guardian has him surrounded when they figure out he killed Esaka. Instructor Shimizu punches him while he's tied up and seemingly helpless. Kotarou smiles and answers that he's "the Earth-Saving Hunter" before breaking out of his binds using his blood blades.

I'm sad that they cut the scene of Oonishi mounting Kotori, covering her mouth, and preparing to stab her throat with a knife. It's a fairly shocking scene in the VN, and it lends greater credence to Kotarou worrying about Kotori's well-being, with him saving her just as she's about to have her throat slit.
Also it could have led to a lot of out of context screencaps.
