Anyone still following Detective Conan?
Anyone still following Detective Conan?
Yes. The DCTP forums are better for long-term, focused, and guaranteed dicussion.
i'll follow Sera anywhere.
but screw this manga/show
> tfw when Sera dethroned Haibara as the best girl
It was hard to accept but I had too
Yes, but i do it more for the murder methods then for MUH PLOT at this point.
Kogoro is the best character.
It's been 15 or so years since I have last watched an episode of it. I remember being a little spooked by the episode where they were in some cabin and the murdurer killed some guy with an axe while being all bandaged up.
...
How is this still on? Do families in Japan really gather together and watch Detective Conan in the evening?
You don't?
Another series where the worst girl has 100% chance of winning
How is it possible for authors to create side characters with better personalities and better chemistry with the Hero as a love interest than their main heroines?
20 years and running competitions tend to get stacked
Of course.
> puffy
I have never seen a single episode of this
Is it worth it to start now or will I miss a bunch of references if I haven't watched previous seasons?
Here you go buddy. It's probably a good idea.
You skip no canon (as other lists would have you), and go probably fast.
It's a long climb no matter what, and the more you put in the more you will get out.
This is golden, thanks user!
Reminder to follow 800 episode rule before you can really judge this show.
...
Wait a minute, since wtf did actual plot start happening in this show? I thought it was just Lupin with murder solving instead of stealing shit as the central plot.
Try actually watching the show.
Kill yourself serafag
What the fuck is that list? I don't understand.
I did when it first got dubbed. Put me to sleep most of the time. Then heard the plot point of getting returned to his proper age/fighting the evil org goes out the window and said eh.
>dubbed
Well there's your problem.
Barring the insane ordering of the first 5 seasons (simply to assist in reading manga in bulk) it downgrades episodes to chapters in the hope of saving time.
But it's determined by one's reading speed, so some instances may break even or worse.
The main positive of it is unlike most lists it skips absolutely nothing (except AOs).
Could be the worst thing ever, who knows.
Wouldn't it feel bad to go from anime to manga like that? You'd get too used to the manga fast pacing to go back to the anime but you'd also miss the songs and voices.
I want to get around watching the anime t bh
I'm sure half the japan will be murdered once this manga actually finished. Started reading when I was 7, 22 now.
Don't listen to that list.
Its garbage. Just watch the entire anime and read the entire manga.
I think I will
>and
calm down satan
If you have time to come shitpost on Sup Forums you have time to go do both.
I did.
Then it's not for you. Nobody is claiming it's a universal solution.
It's just another, proposed, way to go fast by cutting corners, but not cut the ones that matter.
>Wait a minute, since wtf did actual plot start happening in this show? I thought it was just Lupin with murder solving instead of stealing shit as the central plot.
There is actually a massive central story involving secret organizations and the F.B.I
>way to go fast
How about you enjoy the journey instead of worrying about the destination?
Because everybody is different.
Alternatively, that same list could be "how to read the manga but also watch the anime adaptations that are worth it (but not double up)".
The main heroine is usually created with the purpose of being the winner, which means no additional personality is needed to be developed to have a character that can meaningfully interact with the MC.
Yes but people that only care about getting to the end as fast as possible shouldn't be bothered with.
Those are the types of people that will die in their 40s from a heart attack.
There's nothing wrong with Ran
Or would rather minimize the time investment to catch up to recent? Then potentially work through the backlog?
There's a lot of scenarios, surely.
I'm not saying you're wrong.
As another avid fan who has invested multiples of a standard time's experience I know the journey is important.
This list covers that same journey but allows people who are interested in the series to acknowledge an alternative to make it a bit less overwhelming.
It's not holding a gun to their head. They don't have to follow it religiously. It's not the only attempt at what it seeks to do. It's not trying to be the best (except for keeping the canon intact).
From my perspective, you're trying to maintain the integrity of the complete experience, which is fine.
However, I'm trying to maintain the integrity of the canon while also trying to come close (but not 100%) to the experience you're preserving.
That's my opinion, anyway.
I'm a little sad just how irrelevant Haibara feels later on, but god do I love watching Sera. I'm always a little more excited when she's appears in an episode than if she didn't.
Though admittedly, just as I typed this I realized that while they're completely different characters, that's just how I felt back then when Haibara was still new. Her episodes were just so intriguing.
Now I'm a little sad again.
>There's nothing wrong with Ran
She's dumb as rocks?
There's a new non-yaoi doujin on Ex which is really ground breaking in terms of Conan.
I've been watching one episode per workday at lunch on my tablet for awhile now. Went on for about 300~ episodes, but then lost my job and took a year and a half break. Now I'm back on the train and up to around 425~.
I'll catch up eventually. Maybe.
>There's a new non-yaoi doujin on Ex which is really ground breaking in terms of Conan.
I find it hard to believe there are any new porn ideas for a 20 year old series
>AOs
what is this?
Anime original, filler, what have you.
Not necessarily bad cases, but in the interest of time since they're not canon (in regards to their source material: not the manga) you can cut out the 332+ of them and save around 138 hours of watching.
Sera is an overrated smelly boy.
I want to smell her so badly.
...
Sera is such a mega cutie. I hope we'll see much more of her.
They find a way.
Who is this Sera?
Catch up and find out
Best girl
I dropped Conan 9 years ago after something like 400-500 chapters. There's too much repetitiveness to slog through another 400 chapters just for some waifufaggotry, especially given what points out.
DESU if Conan was boiled down mostly to the black org stuff with occasional detective boys arc it would be amazing
It's worth
Only the anime. But even then, I filter out the fillers. The quality of filler episodes have gone down the past decade.
Third worst "girl".
Don't know why, but I found most of the 800-830 filler comf as fuck.
Especially the waiting room one, wish it was more than one ep.
Let it consume you.
Alright let's hear your list
>listing all the conan girls
No, thanks.
Better get started
Top five us then
Haibara
Vermouth
Yukiko
Kazuha
Yumi
how do people watch this shit
>Yukiko
>Yumi
Come on brah
>Japanese live action shows are so bad that people would rather watch anime
Wow.
Not him but
>not liking Yumi
The fuck is wrong with you?
>captcha is "traffic 28000"
Kek.
I started binging the series last year, but stopped ~170 episodes due to fatigue.
>170 episodes due to fatigue.
you are like a little baby
>it hasn't even been a year
Also, is Gin literally the only competent, non-traitorous henchman?
Yes. I think it's pretty much confirmed by now that Gin and Vermouth are the only non-moles in the Org. And Vermouth can't be called loyal anyway, so he's alone. Really makes us think what the fuck is the point of the Org to begin with, since people are just spying on each other.
Why is Rumi such an obvious red herring?
Has there been anything suspicious about Chianti / Korn?
Wait, since when is Vodka a mole? Have I been speedreading?
I binge watch like 20 episodes every few weeks/months. I'll never catch up.
Vodka is the boss.
The standalone cases were much better for the first couple hundred chapters, at which point I think the author changed his mind or was pressured to stretch the story out by the editor and the publishers, because the cases have gradually become less interesting.
I saw a recent 3 part episode with a woman who used Tomatoes in a bathtub to make it look like an urban legend killed the dude. I learned a cool science lesson from that episodes. I hope I keep learning new science stuff from the murder episodes
Not really. I am so behind on it. I am only at like episode 450
I'm slowly getting there...Ep242
Happy Sera is one of the cutest things in existence.
Rank Conan girls!
Go here: students.oamk.fi
and put 1PKhb in the box.
I think it's impossible not to love her.
Don't even get me to start with this.
There's so much more still to watch.
Anyway, are the movies ok if I have never watched/read a single chapter?
>are the movies ok if I have never watched/read a single chapter?
some movies will spoil you. also never watch movie 6 unless you want to watch all the movies or you just loved scooby doo and the cyber chase.
I like Kaito more. Aoko is also much better than Ran
Yes
Don't need to ask everyday either
The last album got messed up. Type VJOSz in the box for it to work correctly.
>It's a fishing line episode
