Nice

...

Oh sweet that's exactly what I imagined Kino looking like when I read it. I dunno where the anime got this from.

...

The anime version looks more like what a normal person would look like. I mean, manga version makes him look like he's some shounen protagonist.

...

...

...

Well it's not exactly what I had in mind. I basically thought he would look like Lawrence from S&W, except much thinner and a bit more tired and weary.
Yeah I disagree with how bishounen the manga makes him, but it's close enough to please me.

...

Will the new anime be based on this? It's cute and all, but I don't want a reboot like this. They changed Kino 1 into a smug fuccboi.

...

I like glasses Kino. It gives meaning to his sacrifice. Any normal person can make a change, it doesn't take anyone special.

...

Wait? It's a reboot? I thought it was just more anime based upon the unadapted stuff?

Depends on who is the character designer of the anime.

Seeing how the new manga is a reboot, anything is possible.

...

>tokyopop changes the order of the story so Land of Adults is first
>"NO GET OUT NEVER TOUCH MY WORKS AGAIN"
>manga does it too
>"eh it's okay"

Thanks Sigsawa

...

...

I would love for the new adaptation to use that subtle striped texture the original had.
It won't happen though.

...

Is that kino with the guy from mushishi

...

I'm not happy with them showing the origins of Kino as the first chapter/potential first arc of the anime. The twist was amazing.

...

What do you think Kino would do if she went to a land that did the same thing or something similar and met a kid there that was in the same position as her?
Leave them to their fate? Take them?

...

I think this manga and the new anime are totally separate.

...

...

Hence the word 'potential'. They may or may not, but who knows at this point. Kino's origin is pretty much an open-secret. The only thing I'm afraid of is if they decide to go full shounen with it.

Okay, okay I take it back, fuck this faggot junon boy design.

Would the new anime art style be based on the manga art or LN art?

...

I can't stay to finish reading, but thanks user for dumping.

When I watched this a few years ago I thought the stories fascinating and deep, but looking at this chapter here each city Kino sees is really constructed on simplistic and, as in this case, moralistic lines. If the new anime wants to improve on its plot it's going to need to be able to create a very powerful atmosphere for you to lose yourself in.

There is a chance we get more info about that next week with the Anime Japan 2017.

...

Yeah that's the point. The whole journey is spiritual and she follows a strict moral code, doe. Kino is a monk in traveller's outfits.

...

...

Why are there going to be TWO new manga in the same year?

...

...

?
There is only one and it's this one.

...

>A manga adaptation of Kino's Journey, drawn by Iruka Shiomiya, began serialization in the April 2017 issue of Kodansha's Shonen Magazine Edge released on March 17, 2017. A second manga, with art by Gou, will begin serialization in the July 2017 issue of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Daioh magazine to be released on May 27, 2017.[

That's the last page.

I haven't heard of this.

That's kinda unsettling. And Kino's death felt really cheap.

On the anime adaptation it's revealed on a flashback. The impact is far greater since up to that point, you'd figure Kino has always been Kino.

Thanks, user.

Original Kino looks gay as fuck here.

They adapt to the actual market.

Thanks for the dump.

I really hope that they will hire Ai Maeda again for the new anime, i can't imagine Kino without her voice.

Nope, Aoi Yuuki will be Kino.

You can listen her and Hermes' new seiyuu here (3:15)

>Aoi Yuuki
Are you fuking kidding me?!

Oh for fuck's sake

>Aoi Yuuki
I didn't know I wanted this.

Almost all of the stories are incredibly simple and have an obvious moral to them. In fact, I think most of them could be considered parables. That's part of the appeal to some people.

>those voices
Hmm, it's actually not that bad.

You must be over 18 to post on this site.

Kino's voice is perfect, Hermes' would be more fitting for Aibou or even Shizu.

I love that "how foolish" panel, really reminds me of the art in the early novels.

Anyone knows whether it's going to be published weekly or monthly?
