It's kinda cool seeing Hungary rising. It plays into our point that genetics matter. There is a reason why Hungarians ruled over central Europe for so many hundreds of years. There is something about Hungarian blood that is special, that makes them natural leaders.

Yes. Moreover much of the structural funds received by Hungary are paid to German construction firms for infrastructure projects. Germany really doesn't have a play and it's vocal opposition to Hungary amounts to little more than virtue signalling. As I said before, the fence was crucial to closing the Balkans route and a huge favor to Merkel. German and French overtures toward sanctions plays to their base but is essentially meaningless when Poland and Hungary can strategically veto for one another.
