What went right?

...

Rigaldo and Theresa arc.

...

Gave up on Claymore, was it worth sticking with it?

These designs were amazing and they got even better later.

Theresa

Not really, unless you really want to see more interesting designs.

yes imo
its satisfyingly complete/full-circle

Time Skip

My main problems were the lack of worldbuilding and the lack of sense of speed, despite the fights often revolving heavily around it. Baseline human's movements causing the same speed blur as Claymores and monsters kind of killed that.

reeee

I literally can't remember most of it. The designs were incredible, and that's it. I want the author to make a comfy cyberpunk SOL series

There is a bit more worldbuilding later on, though I don't think it's really enough. Also the art doesn't improve that way.

>tfw author teases worldbuilding but doesnt feel like making comics anymore

how strong was he?

Theresa came back

I was really into it after checking out the anime on a whim. Ended up dropping it because it was getting hard to remember everything that was going on while waiting for chapters. Now that it's finished I really gotta pick it back up sometime.

Don't remember her entire story, but I really fucking liked the dust eater.

If you are going to spoil things then so shall I. Head pats were had.

I liked it

I liked it, but I'm a sucker for anything with cool monster designs.
It kind of tacked on some worldbuilding and explanations that really should have been better explained near the end. Plus the author's abhorrent same-face problem makes some scenes hard to follow, since its tough to keep track of who is supposed to be talking.

Overall though, the action is solid, the characters are interesting, and the monster design is only really rivaled by Miura, and its finished, so well worth investing a few evenings to run through.

Pretty much everything but the pacing, that ending was something else.

Claymore was a fun read and all but damn the ending didn't make a bit of sense

this was my complaint with the series. every time i try to catch up i can never remember the characters because they look exactly alike, and there were new ones constantly being added and treated like pro/antagonists. it became impossible to follow

i dislike the polar opposite too ofc, where characters are forced to be extremely surreal just so the audience can keep a large cast apart. but it felt like a test of intellect keeping the characters in whateverthenameofthismanga inquestioniscalledagain

then even if you loosely kept track, people kept transforming. i remember the main villain diana or however changing forms multiple times?

Only manga series i ever bought

>the monster design is only really rivaled by Miura
I don't know about that, there are plenty of great monster designers in the industry.

Is there any news about his next work?
I really liked claymore even if he didn't deliver the main continent arc

>i remember the main villain diana or however changing forms multiple times?
there's no one named diana, and the main villain transformed twice

You can't just post that and not tell me where its from.
I even did my due diligence here

Bastard designs are really great.

Saucenao is for porn, baka.

It's from Bastard!!

Thanks
IQDB and Google had no hits either. That was my last ditch effort. Thanks for the heads up though

Google hates you then.

One thing you can say for sure. The story may have gone ridiculous, but the monsters were always solid.

The designs were great.

My problem if I should mention one was the difference between an abyssmal one and others awakened ones, you have to be a No.1 to be an abyssmal one but if you are a No.2 you are just an awekened. So if a No. 1 from Y Generation were to awaken she should be an awkened but if a No.2 from another generation was stronger than that No.1 she would only been an awekened, this is only aknowledged with Priscilla.
An example is with Roxanne and Cassandra, the first one shouldnt have the name Abyssal One

Roxanne became number one after Cassandra died, didn't she?

>So if a No. 1 from Y Generation were to awaken she should be an Abyssmal One**
I am a dumbass

Yeah but she was not near Cassandra or Hysteria in terms of power, even further from Riff or Isley, my problem been that others awakened just because they werent No. 1 after the timeskip were fodder even though they were No.2 or No.3 is like being No.1 gives you a magical buff once you awaken. Heck if Rafaela would have awaken without Luciela she wouldnt be an Abyssal One

The rank isn't that important user. Roxanne was still one of the strongest warriors in the history of the organization, it doesn't matter that at one point she was ranked second. I'm pretty sure that only Isley, got the top spot without going up from a lower rank, well with possible exceptions from the twins, and maybe Luciela with them being experiments.

It's just a style of classification. Any random Claymore awakening is a big deal. Most die before that; those that feel their awakening nearing die of their own volition most of the time -via the black card system or otherwise. A number one awakening is something the organisation simply can not deal with for a generation because their only tools to deal with Awakened Ones are Claymores. The reason for the unique style of classification is the uniquity of a number one Awakening. It's not meant as a level on a powerlevel scale.

I guess you guys are right, is more of a organisation thing.

>It's not meant as a level on a powerlevel scale.
I mean, it kind of is, though. They very specifically talk about how large of a skill gap there is between #1 and #2, and it's the drive and skill that makes them so much stronger than all of the other Claymores.

I think the sense of speed is the best point of claymore.

Raki

RIP in peace Eclipse Subs.

Norihiro Yagi should do a manga only about monsters.

I wonder what Clare's full awakened form would be.
