The forgotten days of old, the ominous forshadowing within the background but forgotten by the lighthearted atmosphere and nature of her friends around her.
She was a very special friend but she wasn't treated any different by others and her talents shined along with her trusty bag to help solve each issue.
Kaban died as she lived,
A friend.
Anons I hope you're going to carry that weight all the way to next week because the silhouettes of all the friends are missing from the ED in this latest episode.
>serval can lift half a bus and leap high into the air >can't do the same with kaban-chan and boss If they really wanted her fucking dead they could have thought up a better execution.
Austin Ramirez
It's like when K let the alien eat him in Men in Black. He had to get his gun back.
Michael Perry
>making a new thread this early I know an intense episode just aired, but what the fuck is wrong with you.
Have no fear, Arai-san will lead us to the promised land.
Ryan Morgan
;__;
Aaron Roberts
I refuse to believe this. This can't be real.
Jose Baker
twitter has fucking exploded
Lucas Russell
I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU FUCKERS MEMED THIS INTO REALITY. I TOLD YOU MEME MAGIC IS NOT A POWER TO BE TRIFLED WITH.
Elijah Butler
So, let me get this clear. Since Serval was absorbed by the Cerulean, she lost all her memories. Even if, for whatever reason Kaban is alive they won't remember shit, right?
>"please enjoy kemono friends, a fluffy anime lovering your IQ" - KF producer
Jace Ortiz
oh my god
Jeremiah Adams
Ever had a family member with Alzheimers?
Samuel Lewis
THE ABSOLUTE MADMAN
James Wilson
No because she didn't turn back into an actual Serval
Luis Taylor
I'm fucking shaking.
Jacob Butler
...
Landon Moore
I CAN"T BELIEVE KABAN IS FUCKING DEAD
Ian Brown
If she was absorbed long enough her memories would fade and she would turn back into a normal serval cat. She has not reverted to animal for so she probably still has her memories.
Henry Wright
>Episode 12 >Kaban gets saved by an asspull from Boss >Plan works perfectly and Cerulean is defeated >Serval finally wakes up in the after credits scene >W-where am I? >Kaban decides to teach her about the park by guiding her around in S2 Screencap this post
Wyatt Taylor
This is Kaban. She fights for freedom.
Joseph Turner
Everything will be daijoubu.
Samuel Anderson
well, in a panicked moment we don't always make the best choices
also Serval needed to charge up before leaping with the boss, and there's no way of knowing if she could've avoided the swing in time
Josiah Lee
12 Ep What the tragic ending. Kaban is dead and Serval go to the park with friends.
Adrian Smith
Please save us Arai-san
Matthew Wood
>Since Serval was absorbed by the Cerulean She wasn't you dumb happy meal. Kaban also went inside the Cerulean, did she lose her memories before thanking the cat? She only was unconscious because she got hit by a strong attack.
Ian Murphy
>Arai-san is always wrong
Brandon Hall
Kaban reverts to Mirai, who'll do whatever to fix things but then reveal she only has a limited time since she died generations ago and is only alive now with Sandstar bullshit. Serval remembers her again and cries as she fades away, then either friendship magic restores Kaban or years-later Utawarerumono "Serval playing in the Savannah notices something off-camera and gasps" end.
Gavin Butler
>lowering IQ bullshit. This has been wrecking at my mental faculties for the last few weeks.
Nicholas Hill
I started tearing up during this scene and by the end of the episode I was a sobbing mess.
Isaac Diaz
I don't remember this art at all, got a pic for reference?
Asher Bell
>boss bus, not boss
Cameron Howard
>amusement park >amusement
I am very amused.
Chase Myers
Hero to all Friends.
Lincoln Gonzalez
...
Leo Robinson
I...I did not ask for this.
Luke Fisher
we won't know what the state of Serval's mind is until next week
>also Serval needed to charge up before leaping with the boss Probably because it weighed 10 times as much. It takes a bit of a swing to launch them that far too. An animal's instincts would just be to jump out of the way.
Serval will be fine, memory-wise, you don't make that kind of sacrifice only for it all to end up for nothing unless your name is Hideaki fucking Anno.
Charles Anderson
I can't wait for the first art out of this mess.
Camden Gonzalez
Kaban deserves a Presidential medal of freedom and be made a knight of Légion d'Honneur, maybe even get the Victoria Cross for what she has pulled already.
Michael Hernandez
I want to hug the fuck out of this bag so goddamn much.
Bentley Sanders
The absolute madman.
Anthony Powell
That really shit's on kaban. Both making her a stand in for someone else which is why Serval liked her and the only reason she'll ever like her is because she's mirai now, and bailing her out with "superior original better game protag dues ex saving inferior anime protag then fading away as Serval really loved Mirai and Kaban is stand in"
Leave them as separate characters
Luis Rodriguez
many stories do the useless sacrifice, but I have more faith in KF
Thomas Wilson
>hype battle song start >this appears T-thanks.
Brandon Nguyen
What the fuck is this anime even about?
Eli Sullivan
I cried when this came up. I expected Kemono firends to make me cry during the last two eps, but I never thought it would be like this.
An animal's instincts wouldn't be to protect someone else, yes. But she did
Josiah Gutierrez
I think Serval would be absolutely wrecked if her memory's intact. How could she retain her smile and optimism if she's told of what Kaban had to do to save her?
Jordan Brooks
There's no presidents or kings anymore, only park guide
I recall the director making a statement in that long-ass interview that the ending wasn't exactly going to be all nice and happy. The whole "well they're not dead but something changed so it's still pretty tragic" ending is common for Japanese work.
