It would be kind of strange to have an Illya movie without Illya. If the girls aren't prominent in the film I don't really see a reason for wanting to see it at all.

Well, Miyu is a big part of it, I don't think they will change anything about the flashback but perhaps add some extra scenes before or after it.

Is Shirou an interesting character at all? From what I've seen of him in 3rei he mostly seemed generic and not really that useful.

The part that the movie will cover will be like if Heaven's Feel worm-raped Cardcaptor Sakura in a dark alley and Miyu was the adopted imouto instead of Illya. Take that however you will.

I've not at this time, no. But I am working my way through the Fate/stay night VN at the moment and I find it passable, although the writing feels a bit try-hard. It's the last route through that one right? If that is in the game I guess I'll find out soon enough.

I had the same opinion as yours and then I decided to try it on a whim and I absolute love it. It never takes itself seriously and parodies so many of the characters that you can enjoy it in a wacky way like Carnival Phantasm.

It may help if I put things in perspective for you. The different parts of Prisma Illya correspond to the different routes in Fate/stay night.

Original = Fate Route
2wei = Unlimited Blade Works
3rei = Heaven's Feel

Sure I see the parallels, although I like that Illya takes a lot of the darkness and edge off of things. So I guess what I have to expect is Tomoyo finally breaking and becoming an edge-lord villan trying to seduce Shirou to make Sakura (Miyu) jealous. Did I get it right, user?

The Cardcaptor Sakura thing is because of the class cards. Also a play on the fact Matou Sakura was the main heroine of Heaven's Feel and she had a larger part in the Miyuverse flashback.

Miyu clearly likes Illya sure, but her feelings are also used as comic relief. Her relationship with Ilya has been stagnant since season 1, while Kuro's bond with Ilya has steadily grown since her introduction.

Besides, it's technically true either way considering between the two ongoing romantic subplots, Kuro's the actually good one.

It doesn't count because they're sisters/the same person. Illya can molest Miyu and get molested by Kuro and it's all good.

I never really saw Illya and Kuro's relationship that way, more of a sisterly relationship with how they weren't too happy with eachother in the start but eventually grew to be reliant on eachother, although still with the whole rivalry thing about who's supposed to be the big sister.

As for Miyu and Illya's relationship, considering it's not a romance manga I doubt we will ever get any proper relationship between them but they clearly get a lot of hints like everything that happened at the point where Miyu got rescued in 3rei, and of course the special ending they made for that episode.

She may be not the sexyest but she's definitely the cutest, it's just unfair to the others. Is there any other cutest than her at all?

Their relationship has familial elements but it's also extremely sexually intimate, and they never manage to be indifferent about the mana transfers even though they resolve not to be. What happened after the rooftop fight for instance was essentially a near-confession. Kuro's also dropped a lot of flags in the forms of "I can't live without you"s and such.

As for Miyu, she did get an event of sorts when she was finally rescued, however it would be pretty damn sad if she didn't considering she's been locked in a tower for the majority of the arc. She has a plot, it's just progressing at a significantly slower pace than Kuro's has.

That said both characters have grinded to a dead stop because of fucking Shirou Namek.

I suppose you can look at it that way, although I still think it's more of a sisterly relation, albeit a quite unique one. I guess with the way the story has gone with Miyu being sort of Illya's sister as well that they have a similar relationship to that of Kuro and Illya.

it ending up with all three of them being together is probably the most likely thing happening as while we mostly see Kuro Illya and Miyu Illya interactions it's pretty clear that Kuro and Miyu care for eachother a lot as well.
