The year 1814 Norway is liberated from Denmark and enters a union with Sweden.
From 1814 to 1851 in Norway: Jews - illegal. Jesuits - illegal. Monk priories - illegal.
From 1880-1890(ish) in parts of Norway: You got paid by the state for shooting and killing gypsies. On the same basis you got(still get) paid for killing vermin like foxes, seagulls and invading Baltic racoons.
In 1905 Norway and Sweden decided to dissolve the 90 year prosperous union. And it all went down hill from there.
How can we fix this? Great people have tried, but failed.

It's quite complicated but partly because Swedes didn't want Norge to have a consulate ( so basically Sweden was representing the Norwegians as well internationally). The fact that they wouldn't let norway have a consulate was because many Swedes at the time still held the old notion that Sweden is the rightful ruler of Scandinavia ( because in the past, that was so, but mostly by might ,not so much by right). This was not the Swedish Empire anymore though, and it upset Norwegians. There was also no need for Norway to stay in a union anymore, because a big reason why they joined was for fear of a Russian invasion. Now that the Russians had lost against japanese shrimp-dick gooks, Norwegians were much less scared of them and a threat of invasion was not imminent. Also more historical factors like how Sweden kind of was always the bully of Scandinavia and conquered its neighbours. It all came down to silly, arrogant mistakes really. Reject the notion of superiority that many Swedish upper class people have, the old arrogance that might have been deserved in the 1700's but not anymore. Stop trying to be "nice". Place our own people ( Nordics) first. Be careful, think more tribal.

I don't know what to think about them joining because we have not treated them well in the past even though they are our little brothers. If we got rid of our shitskins they would probably be begging to join, but as it is now I doubt they would want it and many Scandinavians would be against them joining since they aren't really Nords like us. Estonia and Latvia used to be Swedish clay though and has many ties to us. Riga looks like Stockholm in the past. It's hard to say really, but before there can be any talk of unions Sweden must be purged of the invaders and traitors.

It has a lot to do with differing economies between norway and sweden.. political cultures.. and the eventual failure of the swedish-norwegian king to form a meaningful alliance to defend denmark from prussia and austria. It unearthed a lot of the sovereignty issues and neither sweden or denmark was willing to give up anything. Sweden had already lost finland and was not strong enough to enforce its will anymore.
