Why did the 2nd Amendment fail?

The 2nd Amendment was supposed to keep the government in check, and prevent the government from exercising "tyranny" over its population. However, this has failed in the US, since Americans are far more spied-upon, shot by cops, and generally-tyrannized by their government than people in other western nations WITHOUT a 2nd Amendment. White Americans have already been race-replaced by 40% of the population, by their own government, in their own homeland, and have done nothing about it. Why did the 2nd Amendment fail to prevent government tyranny, Sup Forums? The federal government does whatever it wants, more or less, with no opposition whatsoever from "armed patriots" or whatever the fantasy was.

Boomers and Gen-X actually bought into civic nationalist "we're all Americans on the inside!" fantasies. That's not a bad attitude to have when your group is still an overwhelming portion of the population, since it makes smaller groups feel welcomed and integrated. But the insanity of turning the majority group INTO a minority is really beyond comprehension in terms of its idiocy.

And during the many decades that this took place, "2nd Amendment patriots" apparently just sat on their fat asses and did nothing whatsoever to keep the government in check. This is why I mock those types a lot - they have demonstrably failed at their own stated goals of "preventing government tyranny" and so on. Bro, you've been tyrannized, and you just took it. It's too late now.

It all stems from that pivotal point in history when the Marxists won the culture war. I am referring to the defeat of Joseph McCarthy and the vilification of "McCarthyism". He was exposing the communist infiltration of Hollywood and academia. When the (((media))) turned on him and basically discredited the idea of resisting Marxists in our culture, they were free to act. Hollywood turned sharply to the left - compare the movies from the 50's to those of the 60's and 70's. Academia became almost completely leftist (if not altogether Marxist). The cultural takeover was complete, and no one lifted a finger.

Notice the Orwellian finesse in which the Marxists have used demonizing certain ideas - rational rejection of communism and its influence in culture became the hated "McCarthyism". Any rejection of Marxist beliefs becomes bigotry and racist. The victory the Marxists enjoyed was the demonization of the very idea of anti-communism in America. This has led in turn to the idea that protecting any part of our culture is wrong, and must be resisted.

Today's rabid left is the direct result of this cancerous idea that our culture is not worth defending. Donald Trump'd election was America's immune system finally reacting to this infection. He had the courage to talk openly about the Marxist lies that normies had forced themselves to believe. He is waking them up to the truth that we do not have to bend to the Marxist ideal. And this is why the left, the Marxists, and the (((media))) etc. are fighting him with such vile intensity - he is overturning their one linchpin victory that has undermined our culture since the 1950's. Without that, they have nothing. He is out-jewing the jews.

How has it not failed? Are you more likely to be wrongfully shot by a roided-up cop in America, or a country with no gun rights whatsoever like Japan? Be honest. Also, it makes no sense to include Mao's China on the chart - Chinese were too poor to afford firearms to begin with, and actual DYNAMITE/fireworks were NOT regulated. Farmers literally had boxes of the stuff just sitting around. But it was never used to fight the government, because that's not how Chinese culture works. Firearms would have been irrelevant in that context as well.

It's merely one symptom of the general failure. For example, everyone pretty much agrees that the 4th amendment is dead - the government built a huge surveillance state which violates it all the time. This did not lead to "2nd amendment remedies," like people claimed would happen. It led to near-complete indifference. The government can tyrannize you and violate your supposed constitutional "rights" at will, and all those "2nd amendment patriots" will do jack shit to defend you. We all know that's the case.

It didn't. It still acts as a deterrent to the most egregious infringements on our rights. We don't have to win a war with a tyrannical government for the 2nd amendment to be meaningful. Power hates instability, and the 2nd amendment ensures that any serious infringement on people's daily lives risks setting off a powder keg of instability. You can point to gradual decline as evidence the 2nd amendment doesn't work, but that's actually evidence that it does work, because they know they can't roll these infringements out haphazardly. They have to tip toe over a long period of time.

Our immigration policies did fail, however. They lied to the American people about what the Hart-Celler act would do to the country. The RAISE Act is basically a direct repeal of the Hart-Celler act and if you really cared about winning you'd be doing everything in your power to get the RAISE Act passed. Not whining about the 2nd amendment not letting you shoot immigrants.
