The show mostly abandons its premise after the first ep and turns into more of a satire of japanese nerd/hipster shit. Some eps work better than others.

Its pretty hit or miss, I like how the show makes fun of different aspects of otaku culture, but some episodes were better than the others. The one about the guns was a total drag and the computer felt meh but the Yu Gi Oh and Wrestling were great.

If this thread is to go anything by, then most anons are fucking retards who have some sort of bias against this and dropped it early on for some reason.
This show is one of the better seasonal shows I've seen in ages personally and I watch fuckton. All this episodic comedy take on about the different aspects of akihabara and otaku culture is just well written, the animation is well sufficed for its task and it feels like there was lots of love behind this. The characters are great, especially Tamotsu which is important for male MC.
I'm all around surprised how good and entertaining this show just is, and goddamn sad with seeing all these shit posts about the show being bad.
You have fighting games, wrestling, audiophile, cafe culture and other topics, so I would just ask, how are you not entertained?

I don't know why you're surprised it was judged quickly. It's based on a game, the main character is an otaku, he's surrounded by a team of hot girls, and the premise is battling by tearing people's (read:girls') clothes off. It sounds like the laziest possible ecchi battle harem pandering bullshit.
The fact that they actually made a fun show out of it with informed and affectionate parody of otaku subcultures isn't that obvious at first. Nor is the decent characterisation of TM2 beyond Bland Nerd MC, as well as the rest of the cast.
Plus enjoyment of each episode can depend a lot on the viewer. A lot of people love the SFV episode, but none of it meant anything to me.

Every show has its weaker episodes, the general feel and ride is what matters most.

I watched up to maybe episode five. I remember back in January there were plenty of threads for the first 1-2 episodes but then they all seemed to die out and no one was watching it anymore. I don't know why.

Was almost tempted to stop by the Carl's Jr in Akiba when I was there.

Show is better than I thought it would be, and I'm glad I watched it, but it's certainly not for everyone. It's not a particularly good show, the humor is pretty hit or miss, and the characters are pretty forgettable. Animation and art is bland as well. However, the episodic nature and interesting setting let the show be pretty creative with villains and their powers so much so that despite how cliche somethings end up being, it's somewhat unpredictable outside of knowing the heros will win.

Would recommend to the right person, probably not to everyone. Blog post/10
