People don't think it was a hoax, but that it was an exaggeration. Even the word Holocaust as related to WWII and the jews was only used by a few Jewish academics until the mid 1970s, and since the aftermath the numbers have ranged from 20million until now where they have settle on 4million. The gassing itself is also a lie, witnesses bare this out in documents taken after the war. Typhus was indeed a concern since it was a huge problem in WWI. Most jews that died in the camps was due to starvation, which was cause by the allies cutting supply lines. This doesn't mean the Germans didn't experiment with ways of killing people more efficiently, course we also knew fairly quickly after the war that all their methods paled in compared to Japan.
As they say, to the victor go the spoils. Very little is taught on the cruelty of the US, Russians towards the Germans in Dresden/Berlin and then there's Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The most important thing that anyone can tell you is that if you value the truth, in any capacity at all, then you must never take what anyone says as truth. Any, and every, claim put forth as a truth MUST be fact checked. And by fact checked I do not mean go to one of those websites that says "yes that is true, because lol" or "no, evil lies lolzor!" like snopes or really any large site that appears well funded. Look up the actual sources themselves.
With the holocaust we have several problems, first the sheer amount of inconsistencies is laughable, second if you look into enough examples of propaganda and speeches given by politicians/the rich you will start to see a pattern which shows that it was not Germany that was warmongering.. this holds true for both ww1 and ww2. One of the biggest problems we have with teaching the Holocaust and Black Slavery in the US is it is taught from kindergarten all the way through high school. This was not the the case prior to the 1980s. It is taught more frequently in public school throughout a students life than the founding of the US nation itself in both history and social studies.
What this has done in the US is make Jews the only class of permanent victims requiring special protections above your own nation's well being, and it has given black children at a very young age the impression that they are and have always been slaves. I think we see this baring out socially now in society.

It really depends how you want to define hoax.
The way it's portrayed is that the Germans got all the jews and with German efficiency murdered them all.
The reality was more that they separated them and tried to send them to Israel. When the war broke out and they were not able to do that they put them in camps that were reasonably pleasant.
As the war progressed they could afford less and less for the Jews in camps because why feed Jews when you're struggling to feed your army.
Eventually it got to the point where the camps were too much effort so they began to gas them.
It's important to remember that the argument for it being the worst genocide ever is the argument that it was a perfectly organised plan to kill all Jews when the reality is it was just too much work to keep them alive.

After the D-day the war was military lost for Germany, except if there was some kind of conflict between the Soviets and the Allies that would allow a separate peace for Germany. That's why Hitler kept referring to Kolberg and the Seven Years War at that time.

The holocaust was british propaganda during the 2nd ww, they did the same thing during ww1 but then the americans found out and were pissy about it (as they basically joined a war under false pretenses). This time they were more skeptical so they investigated a lot of these so called extermination camps and found out they really were just work camps. They weren't allowed to investigate certain camps in the east however as they were under soviet control. The soviets were basically the big enemy of the nazis and wanted nothing more than to humiliate their enemy. They have been found lying about numerous things both at the Nuremberg trials and afterwards, even pinning their own atrocities on the germans (Kattyn and probably babi yar). Hence the lies were continued with the approval of the jews, who benefitted greatly offcourse.
As for the Nuremberg trial, this is a complete farce. Evidence against the holocaust wasn't allowed and many witnesses have been found to be lying, or were tortured (hoess). As I understand mainstream historians are starting to turn against the nuremberg trials too. It won't hold up for too long.

Imagine if people were taught about that, and shown that red cross numbers estimated ~300,000 deaths in total in the german concentration camps, and this mostly from disease and starvation during the last months of the war, not executions and definitely not this hogwash where the germans dug up millions of bodies to incinerate them in cremators so nobody knew what they did. Funny that it explains the total and utter lack of evidence for these supposed mass graves and murders. They just incinerated all the evidence, trust us!
Nevermind the fucking gas stories where they dumped SOLID PELLETS through a hole in the roof of a tiny fucking room. You think that works in a timely manner? Now imagine how many soldiers and how long it takes to wait for that gas to clear up (the room isn't even airtight...) hauling 100lbs+ bodies to the crematorium, and doing this 3 million plus times.
It's goddamn ridiculous, I'm fucking amazed that anyone even believed the stories in the first place. How fucking gullible were people back then? I guess they never thought their government and media might lie to them.

You may be right what I refer to as the Holocaust is whatever happened to the jews during ww2 be it mass execution or forced labor it's what I call "the Holocaust" because regardless of however many people did die that's what everybody calls it

You can't just accept you could be wrong on something. It's probably because you see your Holocaust denial as a part of you don't you.
