Did the last novel do the series justice?
Did the last novel do the series justice?
Translation is still on volume 21. Most people are waiting to see, but judging by spoilers the ending sounds nice, with Saito fucking Louise all night long.
I'm not liking what I'm hearing about Siesta getting to be the mistress or some bullshit.
Fuck her.
>Fuck her.
>Siesta getting to be the mistress or some bullshit
Isn't Saito doing that already?
It only lasted a short while. She "gets" Saito two days a week, but that ends when Louise and Saito return to Saito's world without her.
Louise was such a shitty cancerous Shana-clone that she gave the LN author cancer in reality.
I don't like Siesta either, but I heard their spending some time was a one-time thing and they didn't have sex or anything.
If Lousie can go to Saito's world, so can Siesta. Worst girl (that is, of course, Louise) got BTFO, and all is well with the world.
It's more than she deserves.
Honestly, I can not stand Siesta.
And I don't mean this in a "grr, she's not Louise!", I mean that she doesn't do anything for the story other provide for the harem antics, which in my opinion is the weakest part of the story. Say what you will about Queen Henrietta, but at least she has a purpose in the story and goes through some rough times as well.
Siesta had an interesting dynamic when she first appeared, being Saito's link to the "real world" and someone he could talk to, but that quickly went away (especially in the anime), and she's just around so you rmember that there's harem crap abound. Going to go fight an army?! Siesta's there too! Going to go to go find a tank! Siesta shows up too!
If Siesta was written more like around the time of Louise's depression, I wouldn't complain about her, but that's not enough to save her in my eyes. Her ship had long since sailed, but yet we keep need to find excuses to make room for her. THAT'S my problem. I mean, Christ, even Kirche found something else to do in the story and can actually fight, but not Siesta.
I need to buy that book once I start my new job, by the way.
No, she can't. Louise is the only mage who can use the spell to travel to Saito's world. That cow-titted homewrecker was left cold and alone.
Keep telling yourself that.
>Siestafags headcanoning this hard
lol
It's possible, a sequel series was planned after all.
>author fought a battle against cancer just long enought to give people the last season
>he had to suffer just to ask fans for forgiviness for season 3
>he died after the last season was complete
I can't help but think it's non-canon. For me it's just always going to be a fan fiction.
Season 3 wasn't that bad. Yeah, it wasn't as good as the beginning but it was decent, and the ending was very cute.
My main complaint about the show was that they'd keep confessing to eachother but then pretend it never happened, multiple times. Louise only once blamed the female for trying to instigate (The fight with Henrietta) and every other time punished Saito, which was stupid, and Saito didn't try hard enough to reject them.
they get MARRIED IN THE SECOND SEASON,
HE LITERALY DIES FOR HER
and third season acts like it never happened, thats my biggest problem
Yeah, that too. Then they get married again and never once think about or mention the fact that they technically got married before. It's weird.
There was no father to swear them in so it doesn't count. No ring to bind the contract either.
they had a magic flower.
good enough
The flower died in the end though
didnt the flower was supposed to show if they were alive?
since he died for a day there the flower died when he came back the flower came back
thats why she goes out running to meet
Once the flower died, the marriage contract was broken. Its like when you get a divorce but still have the wedding ring.
I guess it is "til death do us apart", so you're not wrong.
Glad I never followed the LN after S2 like I did with Shana.
I seriously think the author wanted to show a romance through different stages but the editor wanted haremshit
Yes.
What about the titty elf. She was a lot better then Siesta.
How much sway do editors have in Japan?
They have total control over the series.
Not really, a lot of stuff got dropped or wasn't explained due to the author dying, plus the pope's plan all along was to invade Earth.
With a single flying fortress.
haha good luck with that. Literally just send a nuke or drone attacks. The real plan should have been some brainwashing shit.
Exactly. Even Saito thought it was fucktarded, which says a lot.
>my favorite character in the series gets no closure at all and is seemingly dropped in the final volume
>was doing important stuff last volume so it's abrupt as fuck
>still Stockholmed by Louise's shitty ex-fiance, who also got dropped for some reason
