How do I watch this show? More specifically, what is the most optimal way to watch this show for the greatest experience. To my knowledge, there are several different ways: S1 broadcast order > S2 > Movie; S1 chronlogical order > S2 > Movie; True chronological order with S1 mixed with S2 > Movie. Hell, there's probably some more ways I don't even know. On top of that, I read that there are some repeating episodes in S2 that you don't even need to watch.
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu
Just do chronological order and only watch the first and last episode of The Endless Eight.
don't bother with this posercore unless you're a nostalgiafag who watched it when it aired
>S1 chronlogical order > S2 > Movie
Here is your awnser user.
For the endless eight, you could try to watch it if you can stomach it, or you could just watch the first and last episode of it.
you get more out of the movie if you watch it last
Broadcast order always you fucking SHIT!
Broadcast order is arranged by order of importance, and chronological order destroys the development structures for little to no gain. Best stick with the original. The second season is mostly just advertisement for the film, and may be freely skipped.
>and may be freely skipped.
???
>skipping bamboo leaf rhapsody
Don't do this OP. And watch at least a couple E8 episodes + the last one.
Ignore these niggers. Broadcast order is literally pointless.
>Broadcast order is literally pointless.
No it's not? Unless you want the climax of the show in the 3rd fucking episode.
Production order -> movie
WASN'T THAT HARD WAS IT?
DON'T WORRY OP
I did a pastebin about this!: pastebin.com

Aaaaand, if you want a constant Haruhi thread, consider visiting us on the Haruhi general at /c/
Broadcast order doesn't conform to the chronological events of the LN's so it's worthless.
I still say that Endless Eight has a decent pay off not only within the season, but it also does favor to the movie when you know more about the bullshit Yuki has to go through.
...
What does one gain by shuffling episodes in a novel order simply because that is the way it is usually done?
...
A coherent story.
JUst
It's coherent when you finish it anyway, you retard.
Broadcast order works from a narrative/storytelling perspective. It also evens out the conflicts and climaxes.
It is optional, but I think I prefer the broadcast order, since the first 6 episodes of Haruhi, chronologically, were kinda big compared to the rest of the story. SO it made more sense to spread it out.
The broadcast order was also one of the reasons why the anime did so well when it did back in 2007.
...
Thanks for the info lad.
Thanks for this user. I got the Elysium batch off Nyaa the other day but it seems to be in the 2009 order, this will be useful to rename them into broadcast order.
Broadcast order(Kyon's narration) always.
Don't listen to the chronological order fags. They never experienced the show back when it was aired on TV. They only bother binge watching or marathoning the show for the sake of finishing it.
>They never experienced the show back when it was aired on TV.
Hey look it's someone who has absolutely no clue what he's talking about.
...
Thats also a good idea because the quality of the 2006 episodes are far better than the 2009 episodes. The 2009 episodes may look better on a technical level, but they lack the heart and soul of the 2006 episodes.
Also. Haruhichan is kinda soulless. Much like the Yuki anime. But Nyoron is always great.
...
Actually worst order possible
Haruhichan is a masterpiece.
>what is the most optimal way to watch this show for the greatest experience
28 episodes from 2009 > Haruhi-chan > Movie > Yuki-chan
Skip tsuruya-chan.
Play the VN.
Then read the novels or the manga.
only posers care about anything but the 2006 anime
>implying the movie isn't better
Don't do this.
but the best episode is from the 2009 anime
JAPAN NHK/BSP april8 start
I didn't find Live Alive in the 2009 anime though
Bamboo Leaf isn't even the best short story while Snowy Mountain exists.
Snowy mountain was adapted to the anime? What timeline is this again?
>implying
rebroadcast?
happening?
it still hurts
Your opinion is probably correct but this is the best 2006 episode.
I have no clue what point you are trying to make by bringing up something that no one was talking about at all or is relevant as a point of comparison.
>skip Churuya but watch tahki
I never thought I would be adding you to my filter.
Yes, but nothing is going to come out of it. They're only doing the 28 episodes, not Disappearance, and it's on some NHK satellite channel so it's guaranteed they're not going to pull a 2009 on us again. This is literally pointless.
it's okay, i gave up months ago
...
I'll never give up.
S1 Broadcast order > S2 new episodes without Endless Eight > Endless Eight until you get tired then jump to the last episode > Movie
