Looks like fun OP.

What's wrong Saracen?

We don't have any cool stuff in the suburbs.

All the boomers took over the neighborhood lodge/pool trying to make amends with the child they know they never should have had.
Every restaurant is a corporate chain and there's nothing special around the corner. It's all bland and dull. Don't live in the burbs boys, it's soul sucking.

Not even anything provincial?

We stuck picrelated in the town square as a war memorial

Fellow christchurch user here
may the muslims fear our people!

We're pretty Islamaphobic without trying
Can you imagine the public outcry if Mudslimes demanded we removed the Hairy Maclary statues or any other dog statues?

Fuck me mate. The architecture of the buildings alone looks so comfy. Incredible monument too.
This year was particularly dull though because they didn't do anything in our square. usually they'll have lights and trees or something.
"local tradition" doesn't really exist here. Although there is one farmers market open every once in a while that's pretty cool. It's about the only few "mom-and-pop" sort of things. So maybe that counts.
