hydroxyl and glycosidic bonds look like ohohoh.
its a joke.
laugh.

recognizing lactose is more of a chemistry thing

It's OHOHOHOHOrganic chemistry.

Another long-chain polyol like xylitol would have worked better.

FUCK CHEMISTRY!

I hate that shit!

No need to be NaCl-y

Chemistry can be fun.

>27 27 27
Anyway. I started learning chemistry in 6th grade. For the next 8 grades, no matter how hard i tried, i never got one positive grade in chemistry. No matter how hard i tried, it all looked like a random mash of letters and numbers. It just wasn't for me. But the amount of problems it caused for me, made me hate it with a passion.

Could be that you're dyslexic/dyspraxic

No, i had really good grades in other subjects and i really love reading and writing. I had the best grades in literature.

Or it could just be that chemistry is FUCKING STUPID REEEEEEE
I barely passed Ochem2 and had to drop biochem. Seriously fuck that shit.

Chemistry is just another language, you dolts

>never got one positive grade in chemistry
Did you try adding more protons?

I failed spanish too.
Although in my defense it was taught by a fucking 80 year old GERMAN LADY

I got 12 episodes into utena and lost interest

...

> Dropped biochem
> Passed orgo 2

Bullshit user, biochem is barely chemistry related at all. It's all conceptual and learning long ass metabolic pathways, with the highest level of "chemistry" amounting to knowing that DNA is one oxygen less than RNA. If you can pass Orgo 2 but not biochem, then chemistry isn't your problem.

made shitty video

The first exam including memorizing 20 amino acids and 18 sugars as well as knowing how to draw the structure of the sugars in each different formation. We also needed to derive the Henderson Hasselbalch equation from scratch. Idk it was just too much too take in, especially paired with my other classes.

Why are you playing OW commentary in the background

You never know when you might need to derive the Henderson Hasselbalch equation from scratch in your job user

what's the joke?
why is she laughing about maltose?

no, it really can't.
Chemistry is basically the pinnacle of "no fun allowed".
You do your syntheses as accurately and properly as possible and you hope that you don't fuck up because your reagents are either ridiculously expensive or require absurd amounts of time.

Analytical chemistry isn't much better from what I've seen.

...

Coming up with new syntheses IS the fun part. I loved that. Analytical chemistry gets fun when UV-VIS photometry is involved.

>>Coming up with new syntheses IS the fun part.
Yeah, ok.
I can buy that.
But then you get into the whole "doing it" part and I am just constantly frustrated and angry.

>Analytical chemistry gets fun when UV-VIS photometry is involved
What I've done of UV/VIS made me feel like shooting myself, because it's the worst kind of tedium.
The novelty of looking at a colored complex wears off halfway through the first time you do it.

Why am I even doing this shit?

Well, yeah, the "doing" part is mostly tedious, but that's just midtier chemistry. You have to soldier throught to understand everything, so you can come up with new stuff, which is exiting.
But it sounds like chemistry really is not for you. Drop it and do something you like.

but I hate everything else.
I've spent too much time on chemistry to quit and I do have the awful habit of painting things as much worse than they actually are when talking about them.

WITHIN SIX MONTHS

Oh yeah.
