Damn, she looks retarded.

Don't bully Nina. But yeah she looks pretty goofy in that poster.

Did she appear in S1 or is she completely new character? I haven't watched it yet.

youtube.com/watch?v=eXlgaTC7eFg

FAVAROOOOOO and Kaisar doing the preview for S2.

She's a complete new character. The main cast from S1 will be in it but they are supporting characters.

S1 is only 12 episodes, so I'd give it a watch before next week.

What's the Sup Forums opinion on the first season of this
I'm downloading it now

It was fun as fuck. Good old fashioned fantasy adventure series with no isekai, self insert neet MCs and harem bullshit. The last half isn't as good as the first half of S1 though. With only 12 episodes they had to rush through. But since S2 is going to be 24 eps, hopefully they fix that.

How are the games?

wait fuck I just realized it's a mobage card game
whatever
the anime will probably be good

I wouldn't know, I never played the game. From what I hear it's really not that great. So it's a typical mobage card game. But the anime has nothing to do with the game. The only connection it has is that it uses some character and enemy designs from the game. Other than that the director had free reign to do whatever he wanted.

Nina is hueg. The actual promotion this season is nice, but the downside is that now all of it can't be Top Onda.

Will it have more Lucifer this time? What is Azazel up to between seasons?

definately worth the watch. It has some great designs and characters. CG can get a little excessive at times but it's a great Anime regardless.

Nina is not a smart girl.

>FeMC surrounded by ikemen

We otome now?

For those who haven't seen it yet, probably the most promising trailer of the season.

youtube.com/watch?v=XSczPBZeNRc

>Lucifer
>doing anything but sulking in hell
Azazel apparently joined the Resistance.

How is this different from granblue fantasy, another ad series from the same producer?

I watched the first two episodes of Granblue when they aired as a preview a month or two ago, and it was boring as fuck compared to the first two eps of Bahamut.

Based Keiichi Satou is directing this one.

Yoshino sounding a little raspy.

Sup Forums has been self inserting into mfcs for years now user, 3D males need to leave

Wow, she's built like a brick shithouse. Did Hayama Kenji forget she's a woman?

Can't wait for more Rita.

Granblue is a direct adaptation of the game's main story, and based on the first episode it's turning out pretty mediocre due to that. Bahamut is just based on the world lore, giving the anime team bigger creative control.

Granblue also originally had a silent protagonist, and they gave him the blandest heroic type personality for the anime.

She's actually a dragon

I don't think Nina is the dragon, looks more like the Turban dude may be the Dragon going from his eyecolour.

I'll be watching it only for more FAVAROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Did the trailer imply that the thing that triggers her turning into a dragon is her heart going all DOKIDOKI?

What? You can't handle her?

That's the king, he's fighting the dragon in the PVs.

why didn't they do the same for granblue?

>Did Hayama Kenji forget she's a woman?
But is she really...?

This semen demon is so hot. Doujins when?

Its fun, great characters, great comedy, and great setting. Well recommended. Long live Joan.

No, she is the dragon. Her full name is literally Nina Drango.

Charioce 13th in S1 and Charioce 17th in S2 makes me seriously wonder about the 10 years between.

Only watching because Nina's dragon form is 2D.

He's going to be more of a side character in S2, but I can't wait to see him either.

Seems like he won't appear for at least a month.

he doesn't look nearly as buff as the King though, longer face.

Maybe Nina is the Dragon, maybe she's another Dragon tho.

No idea, dragons hair might be either pink or white, hard to say in that light, same could go for the eyes tho. Maybe I'm wrong. Just saying what I discerned from the Trailer footage.

though on a close comparison the turban dude may just be the King guy.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

The armor is fucking unrealistic.

Turban guy is voiced by Umehara, the guy who voices the King. It's him.

dog bless.

anime.eiga.com/news/104353/

Baha VS is getting the cover of a megazine. Except instead of being a regular anime megazine it's a crackpot "ancient aliens" occult megazine called Monthly Mu.

I'm hoping Amira somehow appears as well. I'm guess that's what Favaro is doing in the first place, trying to find a way to bring her back.

>muh realism
>in fantasy anime

Apparently not the first time.

Crush your ribcage a the slightest impact.

Oh god I heard it but never looked how the magazine was like.

Bahamut game doesn't exist anymore in NA, not that you'd want to play it anyway.

They reuse the characters in Granblue and Shadowverse. Shadowverse is a f2p-friendly Hearthstone competitor that just had an expansion like 2 days ago, I'd recommend giving it a go. Granblue is a more typical mobage stuff so you either like it or not.

This user knows what's up.

Can someone refresh my memory on what this is

Judging from the trailer it looks like Jeanne is in for more suffering. Hopefully Kaisar is there to save her especially after their little bonding moment in this special.

youtube.com/watch?v=0tjfrDmxSOw

Jeanne is for corruption and despair, not for saving.

The king and the turban guy are the same character. He is Nina's primary love interest.

Only in the older trailers. In the latest trailer it looks like Jeanne is breaking out.

It's not from the first series.
At some point in between Charioce invaded hell and enslaved the demons.

Didn't he die when Bahamut awakened?

King is killing angels, god, demons and supernatural creatures because humans first, humans shouldn't bow to the gods. Azazel is apparently fighting against those who oppress non-humans.

Favaro looks more serious in S2, I don't know if I'll like it.

youtu.be/XSczPBZeNRc?t=82

From the trailers, it seems like Charioce wanted to capture Nina due to her dragon powers and after she is captured Nina meets up with Jeanne and Rita to run away.

The show set-up is a bit weird considering the first season. It feels both a lot more serious with Charioce being an edgy "ends justify the means" characters and kinda like a show for girls with the romance being the primary focus and Nina being an otome surrounded by bishounen.

She's still part of Bahamut right?

Well it's been a decade since S1 in the story. It would be stranger if he didn't mature somewhat. Especially after everything that happened.

The entire series is more serious in general due to Charioce being Nina's co-protagonist despite being an edgelord.

I liked Amira and Favaro but FavaroXAmira was forced as fuck and really weird considering Amira was mentally a little girl.

Wrong Charioce, the old king was killed by Baha. This is a new, younger and handsomer Charioce.

I know but I think he was largely why everyone liked the show because he was a comedy character yet also tried his best to achieve his goals, This one in Virgin Soul just looks straight up like no fun allowed but maybe the female will replace him in the comedy side.

Oh. I'm okay with this development then.

As cute as it is I'd have to agree with it being forced. He went from wanting to murder her, to seeing her as a massive annoyance which is how he felt towards her during most of the show. Then in the end they are suddenly passionate making out. That was a bit weird.

I like this group. I hope they're the main character group for a few episodes. Probably not since Jeanne must suffer.

Prison break with Rita, Nina and Jeanne looks like it's going to be a fun ride. I can't wait.

It's because of the new writer. Ohishi Shizuka is a really big name dorama writer. She herself described Virgin Soul as a "complex Taiga Dorama", Taiga Dorama being NHK's venerable slot for historical novel adaptations.
Ohishi herself wrote a Taiga drama once (youtube.com/watch?v=GX7PD2mmtdI if anyone's interested) and it's a Sengoku jidai thing so you can know what to expect. Hence why the official descriptions for the show call it a "political thriller" instead of "dark fantasy adventure".
Honestly a lot of fans of S1 a going to suffer some tone backlash.

Friendly reminder that Jeanne is responsible for:
>destroying Azazel's house
>wounding Azazel and thus furthering the bad guys' agenda by rendering Lucifer's right hand man useless
>succumbing to the demons
>killing several angels, including her husbando, weakening Bahamut's barrier and allowing him to escape

Jeanne doesn't deserve happiness. Everything bad that happened in S1 was her fault.

This is two cour??

What a coincidence, I just finished the original show.
It was pretty enjoyable.

Granblue is an actual adaptation where Bahamut has next to nothing to do with the game. Such a shame because there are some good characters that'll never get used. Instead we have meme afro faggot that only tasteless plebs like.

Yes, it's listed as 24 episodes.

Oh, and she also apparently tends to write stories about women in forbidden romances (one about a woman fucking a much younger married man, one about a woman fucking a guy who failed to stop her husband from being murdered ,etc)

it wasn't really out of bad intention, she was bamboozled into doing bad things by her right hand man(Demon).

She's such a cutie pie though.

It was all right, it looked very good, well apart from shitty CGI dragons along with Bahamut himself. The story was bland, world generic and characters although charming very shallow, but it sounded good, had fast-paced action scenes which were fun and well directed. It was fine at being bright and stupid adventure fantasy flick, nothing more.

Christ, I hope she does't ruin this. Bahamut was enjoyable because it was a fun adventure with charming characters, not because it was a drama.

OP & ED of the season
ARTS is gonna be Uchoten tho

*AOTS

To be fair it will also be ARTS.

But man, it was already saved 7 years ago.

Political thriller mixed with some action and pretty people in fantasy land. I can dig this.

Great start, lacklustre ending. All in all pretty good.

I am sure favaro will be fun, maybe not as over the top as in s1 but still. Also expect atleast one or two FAVAROOOOOOOOOO during the anime.

Will she make a cameo apparence?

Why is she so fat?

...

She's not fat user, she just has chubby cheeks.

Where the FUCK do I get subtitles for that?

Archive. A based user translated the shorts.

>What kind of things were you told in the audition?

>I remember I was told to use a voice like from a western movie, like an american girl.
>from the design she looks like a lively and active girl, but I was told not to make her too cute, if anything it shold be boyish and not put-up, so I decided to do it naturally.

>With the production being once again of great quality, how was it to match your acting to the animation?

>during the recording, I was told to not worry about the lenght of the lines. We were told they would match the drawings to our performances, so there were times we would act without looking at the video, and we could act with our own rithym and tension. On top of that the scrip was extremely detailed, and the animation was completed, so I had lots of hints and [fucking watermark] I had a great experience.

What's the best keyword?
I don't think "Bahamut subs" will cut it.

Nyaa comments sections also have them.

I'm feeling generous tonight

>BUT MUH SPACE WHALES

You're a lifesaver. I'm confident enough in my Japanese to watch without, but I've just today finished watching Bahamut with my EOP friend, and I'd rather not have him skip these before the new season hits.

Appreciated.

Don't know how I feel about new leads. I really liked the original cast.
