That's bad character design user. Good character design communicate nothing about the character. Arcueid's old clothes weren't old-fashioned enough to show that she's incredibly old (the clothes wouldn't need to be that old, but old enough for Shiki and the player) nor where they particularily out of place (long skirt aren't strange). Her clothes only didn't fit her wich can be interesting, but in her case I found that it didn't really add much to the character.
However her new clothes fits her dynamic personality. Wich is much better in my opinion.

Holy shit that typo, I actually meant "Character design communicate something about the character". And I addressed her hair here , her former haircut looked bizarre but her new hair is indeed way to similar to Saber's and the sameface syndrome Takeuchi's characters suffer from doesn't help either.
Im not saying the new design is stellar, just that I think her new clothes are better.

Nasu said that he wanted to "upgrade" the story as well. He says that he has the same mindset he was in for Mahoyo and that he wants to expand the universe, Noel being a part of that "expanded universe".
He will be also changing some shit about the 27 Dead Apostles.

So it's probably going to be quite similar to the original, but with some new shit and changes.

No she wasnt. She dresses to the era that she is in. Turkeyhandle came out at the start of 2000. Arc's style of clothing was relatively normal.

If Arcueid Brunestud was a real character with depth to the point we actually cared about her, then wouldn't it have been okay for her not to wear her signature costume, right? Saber wore different outfits. But you say "No, you can't have a Tsukihime novel without her wearing the long skirt, and the hair intakes, and the slippers". Nasu, Takeuchi, Koyama, and everyone involved in the project would instant dismiss that idea. That's precisely because the character is just the hair.

Saber wears different outfits but she has only one version of her armor IIRC, which is her signature clothing which is iconic to her. It's one thing to make Arcueid wear a frilly dress once in a while and another to change her iconic outfit, the one we all know her for. I mostly don't give a shit about the skirt but the saber sameface and hair are pretty off putting.

You people take it way to far. Takeuchi new style end up in sameface sure but you only notice it because of how differently he drew during Tsukihime era and afterwards. They do not look that similar. And I don't even get why you focus so much on the face, it's the part Takeuchi seems to spend the least amount of time on as opposed to hair.

It's going to be different. Nasu said he already wrote a subplot somewhat connected to FGO. This is being advertised as a new story, unlike FSN Realta Nua. It IS a reboot of the franchise.

They did put a lot of effort. It was a whole new apk game, with new soundtrack and graphics. That is far more expensive than some fanart stuff on their website, or just making tweeds. But it was for FGO players.
