Can some one explain

can some one explain

It's shit like everything else directed by Ikuhara.

Read up on the 1995 subway attacks, read superfrog saves tokyo short story by Murakami and then watch or read night on the galactic railroad.

Also be aware of Japan's cultural behavior, parenting techniques and inability to confront or communicate.

It's not hard if you're already a true patrician. Low level otaku weebs hate it, but it's not made for them, that's what KyoAni is for.

why would anyone hate a show with cute penguins ?

Because the plot isn't spoonfed to them in linear visual flowcharts. Anime fans are so fucking stupid that you still see threads on /m/ saying it makes no sense for Char to "change sides" in Zeta Gundam. A children's show.

just started gundam 0079 and see that spoiler !

It's not a spoiler, char's character is consistent (until CCA, have fun with that)

The Moral of the Story was basically that you shouldn't go around sharing your lifeforce nillywilly as kid to save other kids from the unwanted kid disposal factory.

Also don't join cults or talk with pink haired men.

What did the penguins mean?

rekt

From looking around on /fitlit/ yesterday I discovered that /lit/ fucking loves Penguindrum

i is the unwanted kid disposal factory! who built it ?and for what purpose ?

Isn't the unwanted kid disposal factory just an orphanage?

i don't think orphanages put kids in trash and kill them

Well, let me rephrase that: isn't the unwanted kid disposal factory just a symbolic representation of an orphanage?

It was a real location in the dream-space. It is symbolism, but exists at the same time.

What the fuck was Sanetoshi's problem?

Somebody post apple math

Everything but the child broiler is obvious

The child broiler is such high concept metaphor man cannot concieve it were he to spend his whole life trying, it is beyond understanding.

It cannot possibly have happened in the timeline we're given, so it's not nearly that direct.

>Because the plot isn't spoonfed
Yes. It was an absolutely disaster from the direction point of view.
Director of this anime is a failure.

what the fuck is the dream space ?

>What the fuck was Sanetoshi's problem?
He had special powers and that isolated him from other people, he came to the conclusion that our difference always isolate us each other so society was pointless and he wanted to blow it up.

It's just the place were forgotten children go, those child without parents or someone to care about them, so even society just dispose of them

This?

Beat me to it

But it can't be a physical place that the brothers were actually at in terms lf the storyline.

CHILD
BROILER!

PULLEYS!

WE LOVE YOU!! FROM YOUR BROTHERS!

Honestly, that's all I can remember from the show, and that was from when it aired.
I really should rewatch it.

What is there to explain?

>read superfrog saves tokyo short story by Murakami and then watch or read night on the galactic railroad.
I honestly read these after and I couldn't see how Superfrog Saves Tokyo was related at all, besides being namedropped.
Night on the Galactic Railroad only kinda helped to understand the ending.

And I know the general idea of the 1995 subway attacks but I haven't done any in depth reading on it.

Momoka did nothing wrong and she would've gotten away with it too.

The brothers were never at child broiler. The scenes about them in the cages is about them being isolated because of their parents negelecting them at the time. They were alone and starving for love which gives them the strenght to live, Kanba remembered his sister and brother and that saved him, giving him love and the strenght to keep living and then he shared his love with Shouma, saving him.

Fabulous max, I was wondering why I didn't have this saved.

penguins are the cutest creatures on earth !!

...

There was another version of the chart. I don't know which one is the correct version.

...

this is so fucking stupid. tracking the apple tells you nothing, and there's nothing to be gained from 'figuring it out'.

i love this show, but like all ikuhara projects, it gets way too overanalyzed by autismos who think visual symbolism always invites a 'solve the puzzle' approach to plot structure.

just watch the damn show, let it get under your skin, and think about the questions it brings up while keeping in mind that there are no hard & fast answers. i guarantee this will be a more rewarding experience than missing the point entirely by trying to piece together a bunch of flow charts

Why are you so scared to use your brain?

you're right, user! it all makes sense now! sanetoshi WAS an apple!

No, he was able to change destiny just like Momoka.

...

...

Except he wasn't.
He was just a scientist who went to antarctica and he and his colleagues started being dissatisfied with the world so they turned terrorist.

It was the fucking apple. All you need to know.

dude incest lmao.

He literally can stop people from dying with a flick of his wrist.

Sanetoshi is a phantom that embodies negative emotions, he just exists to symbolize the symptom of a greater problem, the root being the rotten world or the trauma suffered by the japanese people after the Sarin Gas Terrorist attack. The worm also shares the same meaning, is just there on the background waiting for a signal, a trigger to wake up and manifest as a earthquake, or you could say a curse.

should i bother with utena? is it full with metaphors like this one ?

It's more accesible. First part it's pretty straightfoward.

...

That never actually happened.

It did, that's how he stopped Mario from dying.
