How do I adapt to high altitudes? I've pretty much lived at the sea level for my entire life; I'm asking because I'm planning on moving to a peaceful, mountainous region, and climbing would likely be one of the new hobbies I would have.

You get used to it. Just start slow.

I went on a bike trip with 2 12,000 foot passes. On the first I was panting and wheezing and stopping every 2 minutes. The second was easy, after spending a week or so riding at 8000+ feet.
