Yu-Gi-Oh:Best monster designs, villains, story and final duel GX:Best protagonist 5DS:Best summon technique and character designs Zexal:Best girl, rival, and deck archtypes Arc-V: Best duels Best series overall Yu-Gi-Oh
Yu-Gi-Oh:Worst girl GX:Worst monster designs and duels 5DS:Worst story, final duel, deck archtypes and villains Zexal:Worst protagonist and character designs Arc-V:Worst summon technique Worst series overall 5DS
Either YGO or 5Ds have the best protagonist, there's no competition.
Kayden Anderson
>Yusei > best protagonist He was shit user.
Dominic Gonzalez
still miles ahead of the other losers
Austin Green
>worst story, final duel and villains >worst series overall >5Ds
But that's not Arc-V. The story took an even worse dive than anything 5Ds could've even tried to shoehorn in, the final duel was decided by a card that literally meant that you can not win the duel by actually playing the card game, immediately removing any interesting possibilities they could've had for it and forcing the duelists to just run around and collect cards. Not to mention that it ended on what was pretty much universally treated as a meme and so overused that it wasn't even funny anymore. The villains also were never truly present. Standard arc had no actual villain, just the Fusion boogeyman, Synchro did have Roger, who admittedly was relatively fun, if only for how dumb he was most of the time, as well as Sergey, who was a bad villain but just funny, Xyz hard also no actual villain, since Edo was on the redemption track from the start and even in the fucking Fusion arc, their only villains were that Glad Beast dude, who was more filler than anything, Yuri and Leo, who was revealed to not actually be the actual villain and just trying to fix shit and pretty much redeemed in 2 episodes. Zarc was also a laughable BBEG, mostly due to how shoehorned in the whole demon thing was and how terrible those tons of duel episodes were. And don't even get me started on the way they ultimately defeated him, Jesus motherfucking Christ.
5Ds had its issues and the only consistently decent parts were the first third but nothing in it was as bad as the way Arc-V's premise was butchered and its final duel at least had SOME rhyme and reason to it, involved actual game rules to finish it and even the power-ups there weren't as ridiculous as Reiji's and Yuya's asspulls in that final duel.
And don't you go and call my Synchrons shit, m8, Imma fite u.
Jayden Hernandez
>Arc-V: Best duels When is this meme going to die?
Adrian Brown
Tl;dr
Cameron Ross
>GX:Worst monster designs Gonna have to disagree with you there
Jeremiah Hughes
>Arc-V's story crashed and burned harder than the Hindenburg past mid-to-late Synchro >Arc-V's final duel was decided not by playing the actual card game but by jumping around and picking cards up faster than your opponent after some of the most overkill and out-of-the-blue power-ups in the franchise >every decent Arc-V villain was only decent because they were laughably stupid and silly >every other Arc-V villain was either non-threatening or redeemed in a span of 1-4 episodes after introduction >final BBEG was redeemed over the course of over a month of bad, predictable duels and with absolutely stupid reasoning behind it
That short enough?
Angel Kelly
>edgy version of slifer user...
Eli Miller
Synchro shit, m8
Owen Moore
Zexal has the best porn and GX has the best supporting cast Don't give a hoot about whatever you said
Kevin James
You are talking about a series only Judai was developed well
Aaron Sanchez
>GX has the best supporting cast I can agree with that, but it's literally the only thing that does better than the original Yu Gi Oh.
Kayden Gonzalez
>Jesus Fudo being better than Yugi
Levi Bell
>implying slifer isn't edgy
Angel Miller
Yugi is the best protagonist and Kaiba the best rival.
Chase Murphy
true, I should have said edgier.
Cameron Smith
Yugioh Arc-V? More like Yugioh 52 Pickup
Dylan Mitchell
...
Nicholas Fisher
user, Slifer has 2 mouths stacked on top of each other and is Egyptian, Uria has one mouth with a spikey helmet and is Hebrew.
Everyone knows that Egypt is way edgier than some silly jews.
Christopher Morales
>the edginess is determined by the number of mouths one carries.
Luke Perez
>YFW you saw the warning signs all the way back in Standard >Yuto being able to make his monsters real being a shallow way to raise the stakes that is never brought up again >It leads to a feud between LDS and Yuya's duel school that is treated deathly seriously despite meaning nothing >Several episodes pre-tournament that are just Yuya getting his qualifying matches in with no real emotional attatchment to what's happening while people talk somewhere in poorly lit rooms >Characters are hot shit because they know how to use polymerization correctly
Liam Barnes
Uria has some xenomorph shit going on with its mouth within a mouth, look closely.
Nolan Torres
>GX:Best Protagonist >Zexal:Best Rival
Are you fucking serious?
Benjamin Hughes
>Best Rival >not Seto Fucking Kaiba
Gavin King
It does not, actually. The grey part is Uria. The red stuff is just scales/armor that is shaped like a mouth, similar to those ceremonial Lion heads worn in ancient times and shit.
Jack Hernandez
The only people who legitimately dislike Judai are the ones who only know of him from the Abriged Series.
>Yuto being able to make his monsters real being a shallow way to raise the stakes that is never brought up again >never brought up again ????
Academia invades Xyz. Fusion is the first to have portable solid vision with mass tech thanks to Leo.
Anyone in Xyz who wants to fight back presumably adopts/reverse engineers that tech into their own disks out of necessity by taking it from Academia disks.
Ruri gets kidnapped, Yuto and Shun go to Standard in hopes of a lead. Both have solid vision with mass tech in their disks as part of the Resistence.
Yuto 'dies', and then Reiji takes that tech from Yuto's disk to add to the Lancers' duel disks.
Chase Foster
> lots of fan art despite being a pretty bad card and a silent character What went right?
Xavier White
Was Kaiba the gayest rival in the franchise?
Dude literally dedicated his entire life and the biggest, most successful and most scientifically advanced corporation to just finding a way to have another hatefuck with his wet dream of a man. Possibly even killed himself in VR just to get that last 1-on-1 in.
Isaiah Parker
>You'll never take me alive So bad it's good
Brandon Myers
>you saw the warning signs all the way back in Standard And yet you list the most minor issues (one of them seems to be you just misunderstanding like a retard) of Standard instead of actual structural problems. Very bright of you, user
Carter Hughes
The winks were cute
Juan Hall
5ds final duel was better than Zexal and Arc-V.
Chase Gutierrez
That's true, but that's also a low bar in the first place
Evan Miller
Arc-V: Worst protagonist, worst girl, worst final duel and worst villains.
Blake King
Yugi is way better.
Xavier Wood
You know what I really want to see out of my YGO anime?
Misplays and non optimal plays. The only misplays I can remember are from based Sawatari-san. The duels feel like pure luck at the moment. Everyone plays perfect and they win or lose by what they draw and not by how they use what they draw. I want someone to leave a monster in attack position, or forget to activate a trap or activate a Field Spell and THEN play Terraforming for a second copy. Real shit.
Brody Torres
Mistakes are problematic because in card games they're either so obvious the character committing them is instantly branded as a retard or they require so much knowledge of interplay and/or foresight, the spectator would find it extremely hard to follow or even notice unless they're seriously into the mechanics as well or have them spelled out for them.
Grayson Moore
May I remind you of based >NO LEVELS?!
But yes, Sawatari was the best. Even had a slight misplay in the final Zarc duel, admitted his mistake and still recovered from it after being second only to Jack in threatening Zarc's field.
Jaxon Thompson
Misplays should only happen for dramatic effect, like when IV did a suboptimal play after having his buttons pushed by Tron. Otherwise you just get Hikokubo writing every character like they're retarded. Even more than previous instances.
Even if it wasn't the best series and far from perfect, it sure was the sexiest series.
Luke Flores
>Cosmic blazar dragon will never be animated
Gavin Perry
This
Isaac Parker
Yeah, I definitely don't want people to be super blatantly stupid but this is the reason we have spectators. What better way to show that a side character is actually a good player than to point out that the MC shouldn't have summoned his ace in attack position without protection because the opponent hasn't used 101 yet? I think they can be written in with subtlety.
That's just idiocy lol. I liked it but they should have laid better groundwork by saying he's been off the grid training with Fusion and Synchro when Xyz were released.
Connor Cook
Even worse >Cosmic Blazar Dragon won't be playable in Synchrons for years
Brody Harris
Yeah I know. Synchrons are my favorite archetype. Hopefully Konami releases support for them, so it'll be easier to bring out link monsters, then synchros.
Julian Green
>Sexiest Protagonist. Yusei
>Sexiest Girl. Sherry
>Sexiest Vehicle. Bloody Kiss
>Sexiest Rival. KINGU
>Sexiest Ace monster Black Magician
>Sexiest final evolution. Depends
>Sexiest monster theme. I like them all
Jason Wilson
It's sad that none of the Arc-V side archetypes will receive any support in link era because Lyrical Luscinias are a really fun deck. Bravo to the intern that designed them. I hope they make a simple Link 2 WIND that can summon a win from the hand or something.
Jack Scott
For now, no. Any that were popular may receive something once they're considered legacy, but that's some time away, and it won't be something obscure like LL's. If and/or when Arc-V gets legacy support, it'll probably be D/D's and other more popular archetypes.
Ian Reed
Slifer the Executive Producer
Wyatt Jones
how would you fix GX?
Jaxon Young
Ugly ass GX.
Leo Phillips
More duels and less orichalcos bullshit.
Elijah Cooper
Would people watch a series with all your bests combined?
Wyatt Collins
Blandest protagonist you mean.
Mason Robinson
5d's had the best final duel nigga.
Sebastian Moore
>Worst series overall 5DS It's Arc-V, hands down. Then it's a showdown between GX S1-2, 5D's post-64, Zexal I.
Easton Peterson
Junk warrior coming out was hype
Samuel Lewis
How many hours till LABO?
Camden Bell
>5DS:Worst story, final duel >Worst series overall 5DS
Can't really take you seriously user.
Jaxson Morgan
You mean the worst. Jack was cheated out of a win.
Jack Scott
You cant deny Jesus Fudo his win. Either way junk warrior finishing red demon like back in op 1 was the hyped
Best summon is Ritual followed by fusion then synchro Best rival was Kaiba Best character design was in Arc-V Best Archetypes were in Arc-V
The worst villains were in Arc-V Worst final duel was Yuya vs Reiji, but Yusei vs Jack is a close second The worst archetypes were in Zexal but GX is guilty of spreading the cancer of archetypes into the game and 5D's gave us BUYBLACKWINGS Worst summon is xyz. No other summon type has damaged the health of the game to the same extent. Pendulum was just irrelevant, Xyz is detrimental. Worst series overall is Arc-V, 5D's is second for giving us Crow
Lincoln Gonzalez
Teeth are very edgy.
Chase Jackson
>Junk Warrior hit Red Demon's so hard that it's retrain in Arc-V has a scar there
Xavier Williams
It's not terribly difficult if you use them for more than Synchro Climb. And it makes Drill that much more useful, since it removes itself from the Extra Zone.
Jonathan Barnes
Isn't that Vrains thing on today?
William Scott
LABO is tomorrow.
Brody Moore
Hope we still get raws in a similar schedule.
Ethan Hill
>nobody talks about the bandai sets >Nobody talks about season zero >Nobody talks about season zero'w movie
Fuck you guys
Eli Fisher
Zero fucks given.
Brody Howard
They hate to remember when Yugi defeated Kaiba with Red-Eyes.
Cooper Powell
>Exodia was once 5 star for the head >Motherfucking gate guardian artwork >Meteor black dragon was the strongest >Blue eyes ultimate was 3 blue eyes chained together >The mc was some lil faggot that didn't like card games >Kaiba had green hair >Had a literal waifu outside of tea that did fuck all
Kayden Taylor
Alright guys, time to decide, who is the sexiest?
Chase Fisher
Part 2
Aiden Campbell
Scar-red Nova Dragon Cosmic Blazar Dragon
Elijah Rodriguez
I have all these cards irl minus Blazar and I can't even summon them in any of my decks.
Xyz was a mistake.
Austin Scott
junk warrior is so underrated
Gabriel Williams
HOW MANY HOURS TILL LABO
Alexander Sanders
at least we can agree Arc-V is the worst YGO series
Jose Phillips
SHADI DID NOTHING WRONG
Aiden Long
Scar-Red Nova Where's Stardust Warrior?
Thomas Morris
...
Robert Martinez
You know, this thought just came to me.
Correct me if im wrong, but isn't Yugi the one who has the most loses... that are intentional? Or heck, was all of his loses intentional ones?
Colton Davis
It's hard for someone that cheats the card they need into their hand to lose, you know.
Noah Powell
By Yugi I meant the original one, not Atem.
Brody Myers
To be fair, Yugi himself doesn't actually duel solo often. They make a point of Yugi relying on Atem, but I think he wins a few on his own in various manga filler arcs that led to their final duel. Actually, the filler arc should have showcased Yugi's toy/silent deck.
James Garcia
Yugi best protagonist. He's a real gangster during his youth, setting people on fire and shit.
Noah Hughes
>manga filler arcs What? How does this make sense?
Aiden Phillips
Shit arc made simply to sell more shit cards. It happens right before the trip to egypt after winning against Marik and obtaining all 3 gods.
Isaiah Howard
To add to that, I believe the author was constantly getting sick those years, so not only did they need to bullshit it, they also had to halfass Atem's backstory arc.
Ayden Sullivan
I dunno about the manga, but I remember that two of his loses in the anime fillers(Rebecca and Atem) were intentional loses too.
Can we call Yugi the biggest thrower of the protagonists? Or heck, of all the characters in the franchise actually?
Lucas Martin
When the fuck did Yugi lose to Atem? Yugi fucking outplays Atem and sends that loser to the afterlife.
Cameron Cox
I mean the one with the Orichalcus before the final arc.
