What went wrong?
Hana yori Dango
Doumyouji
The author listened to the fans instead of sticking to her original plan. The fans are retarded, they don't know what they want.
I will never understand the love for this series.
It has some genuinely good comedy in it.
>Doumyouji
>implying
He was the best boy. Ruifags need to fuck off!
I tried to watch it when I was younger and could never get into it, not even the live actions. It was kind of shallow. As much I liked the MC all the boys put me off even though I know later they "get better" or whatever. Maybe I'll try again later since I know more of what to expect.
Yeah the boys are jerks, but I watched it for Makino even though I got frustrated with her at times. I've not seen the live action stuff though.
My aunt and uncle for some reason were so taken with the anime and live actions that they sat me down and had me watch like 10 episodes of each. They were like "You keep telling us to watch Fruits Basket but you should watch this, its so good".
I couldn't stand the guys at all. They weren't even tsundere just straight up abusive assholes. Then use the "I'm so misunderstood. People use me for money and I'm so alone too poor me" excuse after they themselves were the bullies. I didn't get this far but didn't one order her to have a sexual assault scare or something?
Never watched it but what I read about it already tells me that it's not my type of entertainment.
>didn't one order her to have a sexual assault scare or something?
I dunno, I remember Doumyouji nearly straight up raped her though.
What was her original plan?
The OST was top tier though, genuinely 10/10 stuff.
>female author
It was doomed from the beginning.
There are great romance shoujo written by women. Try reading more than Vampire Knight and Hana yori Dango.
I think it was one of the million live actions or musicals had it but I can see one of them being a potential rapist.
I liked it ;_;
Its weird how popular the adaptations of this manga in live action shows in SEA that have been derived and regurgitated in their very own image, with same plot and characters for each version. And the feeling of watching all of them are still kinda same (there are lots of fans of Rui or their counterpart in all adaptations)
>are lots of fans of Rui
dumb.
This is the first time I have ever seen this discussed on Sup Forums.
The manga went on way too long. The anime was meh. The Japanese live action was great. So glad they removed the scene of Tsukasa trying to rape her. I mean he already tried to get other people to do it and then he tried to do it himself? So weird.
Also, I like Rui, but Tsukasa was best boy.
>Buttblasted Ruifags
>Tsukasa was best boy.
Heroine and her love interest weren't going to get together, I think.
Nothing honestly.
The live action was good.
>the scene of Tsukasa trying to rape her. I mean he already tried to get other people to do it and then he tried to do it himself?
>Tsukasa best boy
Man, what the fuck is wrong with you?
>The author listened to the fans
Oh.
That explains it.
