I picked up Soredemo because I saw the manga available for pretty cheap and figured I could use the anime to sample it a bit. I ended up enjoying it far more than I had anticipated. It's a shame no one ever seems to recommend it. The opening is damn good too.

I dunno, if someone dislikes most of Shaft's stuff it'd be strange for them to like SZS which seems to be steeped in the kind of bullshit Shaft loves to do. It could be that they're some super casual who stumbled upon SZS and knows shit all about Shaft's other works, but then if they were some super casual SZS would be absolutely incomprehensible to them with constant references and shit.

OP here, don't trust this fag, I'm just curious about Shaft as a studio, and wish to explore its oeuvre more carefully.

Because Shinbo was actually directing that show, so they knew how to use his memes properly.
