I didn't have high hopes for boruto but after watching the first episode and the movie I'm hyped as fuck.

Nah, they had computers and tvs and radios and earpieces and all kinds of shit in part 1, you just barely saw it because most of the manga was running around in various outdoors locations and throwing magic at each other.

I'm cautiously optimistic about it. I'm happy that Kishi passed the torch, after the Pein arc it became glaringly obvious that he was tired of the series. With luck it'll bring at least a few fresh ideas to the series.
