This to me is the real crux of the issue. As long as the right wing is afraid to touch on race openly and honestly, they will continue to lose. The right has always been the side of white people, but never openly, and always through implication only, even though everybody knows it. Why not be honest?

Very true. This is already the case, you just won't find anyone admitting it. Except for the left, who will continue to paint white interests as evil and continue pushing for a browning of the Western cultue, which is quintessentially white.
The left is right in saying that the right wing only exists to further white privilege, because they do the same for the other races that aren't white. They are however wrong in saying that furthering white interests is somehow morally objectionable, and I think if you pressure whites themselves, individually, on whether or not there is something inherently wrong with being white, you will watch them disagree with the statement. So most know the left to be wrong. All they need is someone to come out and say it. There is nothing wrong with whiteness, white culture or white politics. And that is the job of the right wing, but so far, they've simply refused to do it, at least in the mainstream.
