It's because it's basically the same as the last five. Natsume is always comfy, but I'm not sure if I want yet another season of it. He hasn't even gotten to the point where he can take care of aggressive youkai without Sensei in all this time. I appreciate that it's not a battle manga but the set up of Natsume assaulted > Oh no he can't get away/punch them > Sensei to the rescue is a little stale. It's my only real complaint about the manga and the anime but it's kind of growing on me.

I was expecting to see only girls and grumpy jii-san in this show. Was pleasantly surprised. It was also much better than I thought it would be over-all aside from some QUALITY face shots.

I'll be honest, as comfortable as Natsume is, it all starts to blur together after a while.

I picked this one up the other day because the setup was so similar (spiritually sensitive grandson, demon guardian) though it's about 10 years older and ended up even more focused on the solving mysteries about folklore.

This is so good. The fact that it has cute boys makes it that much better, but I heard in the last thread that it had mediocre sales. S-Surely it won't be cancelled right?

About Rakugo, I didn't think it was out of character at all. Kiku submits to demands if he thinks is for the best.

From what I understand, it was less "spiting the gays" and more "I liked Matsukaze's performance as Gali so much, I changed the ending to a 'happier' one for Gali". Which was him not doing a damn thing about Rustal's corruption and flirting with Julieta, a girl who I swear is at least 10 years younger than him who he never had romantic interactions with before. Rough translation summaries from the same interview are saying that the original ending either had Gali dying after exposing Rustal's corruption or exposing his corruption and taking his place in reforming Gjallarhorn since he reached an understanding with McGillis. Basically, either scenario was what I wanted/expected instead of some out of left field no homo, and I'm pissed.
