Black rose is great for the variety and the conclusion but I always liked the student council rematches most as a cohesive arc. Changes in Utena and Anthy's relationship, the climax for the development of most of the council members, Nanami seeing the incest, CAN YOU HEAR IT?, Saionji cooking eggs in the forest.

I enjoy Anthy more and more everytime I rewatch Utena.

I'm pretty sure he once mentioned it had something to do with the fabric of the universe. Fuck if that means anything.

The second and third arcs were both gold. The black rose arc for the duels, and Akio's arc just for the goddamn car appearing in the most random places.

The only issue witht he car arc is the cars thenselves. Yellow on red is just tacky. It would be way better with silver details rather than mustard yellow.
