because women

She is shy and barely talks with people.
She was always honest with her music though.

Because shit show.

Because only two people in the world gave her the time of day, and she saw Haruki and Setsuna getting along really well, so she didn't want to hurt Setsuna and thought she was too trash for a nice guy like Haruki anyway.

Basically, Yukino/Yui/Hachiman

>"Don't cry, not in front of the girl you threw away"

;_;

was I the only one who fapped like crazy at all those delicious tears scenes? I cant be the only one right?

Yeah don't worry, the world is full of sick fucks like you.

>Yukino/Yui/Hachiman
They will never be as close as Haruki, Setsuna and Kazusa.

Theres nothing sick about being sexually aroused by emotional breakdowns.

>those squeals during the sex scene in the VN

I got a heart boner from Kazusa and Haruki saying they loved each other as they were making desperate, passionate, love.

Also pretty sure Kazusa wanted Haruki to hurt her so she's feel it?

And all because 10 years prior, Rina Ogata recorded White album, and then Setsuna would sing it, and it would draw Haruki to Setsuna on the roof, and Kazusa would play it on her Piano to teach him how to git gud at the Guitar.

What happens with the red hair route? What is the drama?

I've only read the Introductory Chapter, I wouldn't say it's any one girl's route since you have no choice on who Haruki falls in love with, but it's the same as the anime pretty much.

Pretty pumped for Concluding Chapter though, a bit worried there's too many female routes though, I don't care about othergirls I just care about Setsuna, Haruki and Kazusa.

>impossibly beautiful girl is unpopular just because she's autistic

Why do Japanese writers think readers will believe this?

Beautiful girls are always popular no matter what.

When he takes Kazusa into his room and says 'My mom isn't home, I'd still do this even if she was, though'

She's unpopular because she actively pushes people away, including Haruki. He only won his way into her heart through his perseverance and his genuine care for her.

>She's unpopular because she actively pushes people away

And skips class, or sleeps all day when she does attend class. To be honest she has a sweet ass life.

;_;

I would very much like it if the webm user from yesterday managed to make a webm of this whole reconciliation scene

What scene made you realize Kazusa is the best girl?

When she got ill and still insisted on tutoring Haruki.

That and the fist bump, shows she's not just Haruki's soulmate, but also his friend.

None, because Setsuna is the best.

The scene where they rehearsed in her house.

>The mentor/student relationship they have

:3

...

>guy who can barely play chords learns to shred a jazz guitar solo in one month

yeah nah

That is not the tsundere way.

When she and Haruki where able to connect to each other through a wall because of music. I mean that right there should have been a colossal flag as to how shit was going down and who he really belongs with.

He had a fucking mini chopin tutoring him, and she worked him like 10 hours a day, every day, non stop.

Not only can you, but you should, because WA1 is garbage.

This series fills me with a mixture of hope and despair. On the one hand such powerful feelings of love and trust are a beauty to behold but on the other and I cannot grasp how someone could ever feel that way for another person and highly doubt that anything like this has ever happened outside of extremely rare cases.

None of it is relatable unless you're a musician. To a non-musician, music is nothing special, just sounds. Personally I don't even listen to music in my spare time.

Oh, you poor boy. Such love exists, you just never experienced it.

I'm not a musician and I still appreciated the fact that they bonded over non verbal communication, in the VN at least it explains well that Kazusa varied her tempo and intensity of play to guide Haruki when he lags behind

How come the only canon way to get Touma's ending is to destroy your own life, alienate all your friends, and crush Setsuna's heart?

Because that's what Haruki does to be with her.

It's worth it.

Yeah but why isn't there a good end?

Not like Setsuna kills herself.

>Oh, you poor boy. Such love exists, you just never experienced it.
>I cannot grasp how someone could ever feel that way
>extremely rare cases
?

>Rina Ogata recorded White album
Yuki's song, so no

>Not only can you, but you should, because WA1 is garbage.
Rina makes it all worth it, though. She is a great character to see develop in the sea of stupid characters that is WA1

You think some people are made for each other the way Touma and Haruki were?

Wasn't it a duet between the two? Either way, yes, Rina is the only good character, the only character who even cared about Yuki.

The duet was powder snow (also excellent), but WA was yuki's debut single (or first major hit, something of the sort)

Best WA2 song

>Why couldn't she just be honest with her feelings?

So basically all romance anime?

I can't play chopsticks and of course it was fucking relatable you dolt. They where able to communicate on a meaningful level without even saying a single word outside of their passion for music.

>To a non-musician, music is nothing special, just sounds.

This is also retarded and you're a boring shallow human. Music can and does resonate with everyone.

I think the scene was perfect in the anime, but I'm a little sad we never got to hear their sobbing goodbyes as they knew they were both nearly finished.

>you will never know what this feels like

Some might be, but the cold hard truth is that they probably will never meet. Which is pretty sad.

Well technically you could simulate the whole thing.

It would just require an extreme level of simulation using technology not yet available. Also some degree of memory alteration would be necessary.

In other words you need to become immortal, take over the world, and use an overwhelming amount of resources to make it possible but it's well within your reach if you're willing to dedicate every waking moment of your life to doing so.

...

why simulate it, when you already took over the world

The part where she teases Haruki about learning Sound of Destiny in a week, but then reveals she actually does believe in him, and commits to making it happen.

3rd times the charm, then I can go kms.

What a slut.

Shes a pure slut

She absolutely believed in him, because she loved him. ;_;

She just want's something to remember him by, even if it hurts.

I like Kazusa's rendition for the less-piercing highs.

youtube.com/watch?v=Df2f8i11WxQ

...

...

This made me really sad. ;_; (was nice not having to black out Haruki's massive cock every time though)

Haruki is actually a pretty big scumbag.

You sure you're not confusing best song by how that one is used in all the best scenes?

I think Powder Snow or Todokanai Koi is best. Former the Yuki version, and latter the Kazusa version, it was better than the Setsuna version.

He doesn't deny it, but nothing anyone did was out of malice.

Well, that explains that.

Took a while for this to get posted.

Also, those pictures don't really convey the weird ass noises Kazusa makes, it kinda spoils the drama and beauty of the sex scene.

Guess that's Japanese porn for ya.

Not saying the VN scene is shit, it's nice to know what they were saying to each other during it and the ectasy and pain they felt, but the anime handled it so well, man.

...

>Haruki doesn't even walk her to the door

He's asleep, she purposefully left him before he woke up and didn't even get to enjoy waking up next to the man she loved. ;_;

C-could this be the return of NTR?

If anything heralds the return of NTR, it's Kuzu no Honkai, WA2 is done, and has been for years. (sadly)

Any WA2 fans in here who like Kuzu? Same director as far as the anime series of both is concerned, and it shows imo.

How is it? I haven't checked it or Seiren out so far.

It's nowhere near as good as WA2 of course, it feels a bit more unnatural in comparison but I don't think there's anything we've had recently in a while that goes full steam ahead into the lewd part of relationships.

So any romance anime drama out that is worth watching?

I like the pianowork in After All. Pity they haven't released an instrumental version, to my knowledge.

youtube.com/watch?v=1trsrfPxTP0

For Todokanai Koi, I think I still prefer Setsuna's version.

I need tl earn the Piano, there's just way too many songs like this I'd like to play to myself.

nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=884977

If anyone wants the Kazusa vocal tracks.

I just want to give her a pat on the back for her adorable attempt at Sound of Destiny, she tried, bless.

For how amazing their relationship is you can't really argue that Haruki and Kazusa aren't complete idiots.

Kazusa should have confessed to Haruki at literally any point in time during their highschool days.
Haruki should have rejected Setsuna and told her that he loved Kazusa.

They both should have just embraced their love and stayed together instead of fucking up their relationship with Setsuna only to get nothing out of it.

There are a million better ways to handle the situation but for some reason their feeling of moral obligation yet weakness to their own passions led to far more drama than should ever have been possible.

>>Kazusa should have confessed to Haruki at literally any point in time during their highschool days.

She thought she'd have no chance with Haruki, especially against Setsuna.

>Haruki should have rejected Setsuna and told her that he loved Kazusa.

Haruki thought he was nowehere in Kasusa's league, a genius who can play Piano professionally at an international level someday, and someone who is drop dead gorgeous but gives him mixed signals every time she pushes him away.

I won't say they're not idiots, but I understand completely why they pussied out, I'm also a massive coward.

I still prefer White Album 2, but I really like Kuzu no Honkai. I think Kuzu no Honkai was better overall, WA2 is just my personal preference due to some life circunstances. The way the narrative is done is incredible, it really makes you feel what the characters feel, and sympathize with them, partially at least. That's something that both White Album 2 and Kuzu no Honkai share. Most romance and drama anime don't really do this very well. You can clearly understand how and why the characters do what they do, and even though you might not agree with them, their actions are justified.
Kuzu no Honkai does this with various characters. There isn't one true main character, and you catch a glimpse of the mind of everyone. The music fits in perfectly, the voice acting is also perfect and conveys their emotions very well, and I honestly felt like shit at the end of each episode. It is a great show because that's exactly what it was meant to convey. A huge pain in the heart and rage due to the characters' behaviour.
I also disagree whenever someone says that the characters are unrealistic. I've been through some weird places and I can assure you that all the characters from both WA2 and Kuzu no Honkai are realistic and exist in real life. Well, they are uncommon, maybe, but not unrealistic.
If there's anything that's unrealistic, that would be, maybe, WA2 closing chapter (The second visual novel, for those who don't know. The anime adapts only the first one). Only read what's translated, that is, setsuna route, but I found it to be a bit unrealistic at some parts. Absolutely loved it, still.
The way I see it, Kuzu no Honkai is about people who are scum. It's in the show's name. They do whatever they can to feel better if only for a moment, and then deal with the consequences. It's a series about personal growth, but also about pain and heartbreak.
(cont'd)

I think that song was one of the best-fitted to her voice.

White Album 2 is about people who just happened to find themselves in bad circunstances. If Kazusa had confessed, If Haruki had rejected Setsuna, If Setsuna hadn't confessed, if, if, if...
Kazusa was in the right, it's crazy scary to even think about confessing and being rejected.
Haruki was in the right, he loved them both, and if he couldn't be with Kazusa, he could at least make Setsuna happy and he himself be happier with his new relationship.
Setsuna was in the right, if you love someone you should just go for it, and try to be loved, Haruki and Kazusa's relationship wasn't advancing anyway.
Now I'm a Setsunafag, but I don't blame anyone. They all are to blame equally, probably Haruki more so than anyone else. But they are teenagers, they are lovestruck, and everyone acts dumb while lovestruck, you can't rationalize something like love, it's a drug that's stuck deep in the heart.
White Album 2 portraits accurately a mundane, common story, and something similar probably happened to someone you know. One of it's great points as a story is that the story it conveys is completely ordinary, yet it is so touching and heartbreaking.
Now, what I wrote was written with only the anime (or first visual novel, whichever you prefer) in mind, and i'm desperate to read the 2nd and 3rd visual novels. I've read the summaries and I've despaired while reading them. I don't have time to learn nihongo as I'm a busy man. My only hopes are season 2 or translations of the visual novels.

For me, Kuzu had far too many stories and plotlines in comparison to White Album 2, given they both shared the same amount of episodes, and Kuzu just strikes me the wrong side of unrealistic most of the time.

White album 2 didn't waste whole episodes on the people who were in love with Touma (they existed) or the people after Setsuna, people would probably say some characters got the shaft from this, mainly characters like Haruki's friend, but at least they didn't steal the spotlight.

Secondly, I think one of the reasons people like WA2 is well developed characters with realistic motivations and backgrounds for the things that they do, Kuzu has Hana fuck her best friend on a rebound from being heartbroken, I'm not a life expert here but I don't really think many people would shag their same sex best friends if they tried to worm their way in after you were heartbroken, then you have a teacher shagging students left, right and centre, it's just so out there, especially the teacher who is okay with being a cuck out of nowhere.

WA2 feels like a story that could, probably has happened in real life all over the world, Kuzu is like a slightly risque drama show., let's not forget how fucking horrible the ending to Kuzu was and how amazing the WA2 one is in comparison.

Is Kuzu's ED/OP better than WA2's?

FUCK, browser crashed when I was almost done writing. Here I go again:

I think they both did great in terms of progression. The number of episodes fit perfectly. WA2 explored the main characters more while Kuzu was more broad, and I love both, because I felt both were well done overall. Every character in both series had me interested in their story. Oh, and Haruki's friend wasn't butchered, I read the VN as well so I can confirm.

About the motivations and being realistic, WA2 was absolutely perfect, but I think Kuzu was actually pretty fine in that department. Just remember that Hanabi was a weak willed cunt, and she was already in a purely sexual relationship with Mugi, and if she rejected the carpet muncher she'd lose the only friend she had. Using this weak justification, she'd allow herself to be fine with seeking sexual comfort in another girl. Recall that scene when she was lying in bed and saying "I want to sleep with someone". About the female teacher, she wasn't sleeping with students, she was sleeping with whatever literal penis she could find. Not unrealistic, just incredibly shitty. The male teacher, well, a friend of mine said he would do the same thing as the teacher did if he really loved the girl, but I really doubt that he'd do that if he was in such situation.

WA2 still feels like a more geniune story, something that touches the heart of everyone and is common and mundane. But remember that WA2 has normal people as main characters while Kuzu no Honkai has scum as main characters. Perhaps, the background characters were normal people in healthy relationships. The show focuses on the scum.

(cont'd, holy shit)

The WA2 ending was absolutely perfect. I think this is something that doesn't even need to be discussed.

The Kuzu no Honkai ending was absolutely disgusting. And that's something that's actually positive. It managed to convey the pain that the characters felt in such situation, and also managed to bring the happiest ending every one of them could of have. Hanabi grew out of her whorization in search of true love, and she genuinely loved Mugi at the end but didn't chase the love because he didn't love her back (that's what i got out of it at least). The other characters got decent endings as well. I was really mad that she ended up alone, obviously, but let's be honest, the show wanted to make you mad, whenever I watched a new episode I was clenching my fists at the end.

The WA2 ending feels much better, even though it's about heartbreak. The Kuzu no Honkai ending feels disgusting and that's what the show is about, being disgusting.

WA2's op and ed both grew in me, initially I didn't like them but then I learned to love them.
Kuzu no Honkai's op and ed were instant favourites. Besides the lyrics being awesome and fitting in perfectly with the show, the op felt like "lets give it all" and the ed felt more like surrender and pain, which just accentuated the emotional rollercoaster that each episode was.

2nd episode was the start, then flashback comfirm it.

Thanks for the info!

The OP for WA2 isn't anything special compared to Heikouzen imo, but the ED where the lyrics go 'If I hadn'tm et you, I wouldn't have known this pain' , Sayonara no something, it's a great song if you read the lyrics as it plays.

And it always comes in midway through the last few seconds of an episode, much like how Kuzu always ends with the acoustic version of Heikouzen. (official release when?)

Kuzu is good

Seiren is shit, and I unironically love most of Amagami.

My only problem with kuzo is that half of the drama could've been solved with a GUN

Director of Kuzu and WA2 knows how to direct a fucking good kissing scene, I'll give him that.

I don't want to live in a world where people die without having met their soulmate. ;_;

Don't worry, AIs and androids will fix that.

Reminder that even if you can't speak nip you should check out the mini audio dramas of Haruki and Ka\usa doing stuff, she sounds so happy in it.

By killing all the humans?

To show how far Haruki is ready to go to be with Kazusa.

I feel like Haruki would wait until the heat end of the universe to be with Kazusa if he had to.

Haruki probably wouldn't, but Kazusa certainly would.
