Konosuba season 3 not funded

It seems like 1.1 million in sales wasn't enough

maybe it's because it was shit

The jokes got old. Serious isekais like SAO have more lasting power which is why it gets a season 3 and a movie.

It's not Deen choice. Kadokawa has other shit to sell, why bother with something that sell well?

Where are you getting this information

...

The OVA better be 5 episodes pf crimson village or I-I will stop buying t-the LNS ;_;

Did it really sell that well?
Looks like generic harem shit to me.

Did you even watch it? Shit is like the opposite of generic harem, all the girls are incompetent and the MC hates them. Most of the reason people love Konosuba is cause it is hilarious

still waitin on that source famalam

>muh parody argument
Konosuba is literally hikkiNEET manlet isekai fantasy. It's worse than SAO in this regard because at least Kirito wasn't a NEET or a manlet.

Yes, and that's all I wanted.
A isekai where I can actually self-insert.

I think there's no need for them to adapt more currently, LN sales already as high they could possibly get

why spend more money to get literally no extra profit

The anime makes profit too though.

don't respond to bait
>inb4 '>thing I don't like is bait'

>1.1 million
Where did this meme come from?

Good, fuck isekai shit, and no, just because it's making fun of those other shows doesn't mean it's good.

You're right, its good because of the sound track usage, character dynamics and deliberate usage of in between frames in animation for comedy.

uh, no user

the characters in konsuba are le wacky and retarded

this means it's great comedy

Why did they pull the plug?

his ass

Because Japan only produces one season per nuke.

doenst anime promote merch sells? figmas, and all that shit?

Yes, but that's usually a much smaller sum than LN sales. So you see a lot of anime adaptations that are never intended to be full adaptations but simply serve as promotions for their source material.

Recently Japan has had this bad habit of releasing anime only to advertise its source material. So the viewers are left with a ton of anime that never finishes except maybe in the source (Light Novel or Manga).

This is the reason why anime like FMA Brotherhood and Cowboy Bebop are so highly regarded. They weren't really masterpieces but at least they freaking ended.

You don't like it because it's popular. No other reason. If it had gone unnoticed, you would have liked it.
It's a common reaction for teenagers trying to find individuality.

It was just a showcase event. These things are a pretty typical affair, really. Just a meet and greet, and they refused to answer anything about the anime getting a sequel. Seeing how there are at least four more LNs listed for release this year, I'm sure they'll do a Season 3.

why waste money creating original animation that you dont know wont sell, most adaptation are made from something that have at least a decent number of sales if not great ones, and they use the anime to boost those, is way cheaper than risking creating original stuff everytime.

literally just LEARN japanese and buy the novels

it's not hard gosh

isnt japanese suppose to be a hell to learn? with all the weird way you can form a sentence, the many ways to adress or name the same thing, mostly depending on context or social hierarchy, and having like 3 differents writings systems.

I miss when anime was more than just VN commercials ;_;

I want to protect her sock

>Recently Japan has had this bad habit of releasing anime only to advertise its source material.
Not recently but from last seven years

All of the published LNs have English fan translations. I've read them, and enjoyed them, but would still like to see the anime continue.

Yes. Both seasons sold or are in the process of selling above 12k for normal price BD/DVDs. Mainly BDs. Merchandising is through the roof to the point that several spinoffs have been made of it. Figs, dakis, towels, artbooks, even a Lawson promo.

Japanese is actually the easiest to learn out of the three East Asian languages from my experience.

so it's still hell? Russian was really difficult for me for example, compared to english (german mothertongue). My guess would be that moonrunes are even harder.

Japanese language can take a decade to learn even on a elementary school level.

Can someone fill me in on what did we get from the event?

nothing at all, they sold limited edition stuff, had the actors chat, and watched season 2

But kirito was a manlet

Gook is the easiest, mainly because you don't have to deal with an absurd writing system.

Way to kill the hype.

I had a harder time learning Russian and German than Japanese. Still do, actually.
Not really. It took me 3 Japanese games and several hentai manga to learn Japanese in a year's time.
At that point, it's the same as every other language. Learning verbs and nouns become a lifetime project. There is no such thing as a normal Japanese that knows all kanji and readings by heart as well.

>Kirito
>not a manlet
wew lad

well, what's your mothertongue? English? In that case german should've been easier than russian and japanese.

How would German be easier than Japanese just because I speak English?
The pronunciation is pretty wild at some parts.

>konosuba season 3 not funded
Finally a good news after all that shitty ones, especially the one about that disgusting hamster.

because they both belong to the indo european language family. structurally similar, share some word stems. That's what i read at least, and that's what i experienced to some degree. English, german, french and the broken bits of spanish i speak, i can see familarities there, much less so when i compare it with russian.

OVA is out at the end of July so we likely won't know shit until then

>elementary school level
>decade
You haven't actually tried to learn japanese, have you?
It will take you 1-3 months at best to reach that level. Well, if you actually "study" every day instead of spending 2-3 hours a week.

>1.1 million in sales
What? Really?

What does it cost to make a show like that?

for deen $100 and a candybar

What a shame I really want to see how DEEN would improved VOL 5 and 6

>Hammers renewed
>Berserk 2017 is OK so far
>Konosuba is abandoned

I don;t know what to feel anymore.

All of the reasons this user said
Plus the important point of orthographic depth. Essentially, once you learn the basic rules of how sounds are represented, you can pretty reliably work out their pronunciation. Japanese has the kana, which are this on steroids, but if you're talking proficiency, you're gonna have to deal with kanji with tons of different readings, and knowing the context to differentiate them is another aspect of learning the language that's completely absent in any other European language.

In fact, the only part of learning Japanese that has no curve whatsoever for English speakers is the pronunciation. Check out this native Anglo plowing through Japanese tongue-twisters like it's nothing:

That said, I didn't find German pronunciation that difficult. Look to Polish or Danish if you want a trickier phonology to tackle from an English background within the IE family.

Also, as someone who's started Russian recently, once you learn the script, it's not that much different once you get into the grammar, just that there's less lexical similarity/cognates.

Fuck. Have a Megumeme.

There's nothing official said about it being renewed or abandoned yet. Hasn't it sold insanely well with both bluerays and merch?

i cant fucking hear Aqua cry with a book

Don't we all.

I get the two season novel advertisement meme, but this usually only applies because second seasons tend to have quite the significant drop-off in terms of sales. KonoSuba didn't, just fucking make more.

>go to youtube
>search for Aqua's cries
>download and save it as mp3
>read Konosuba
>everytime Aqua cry play the mp3

Maybe we should make one those old books where you press a button and a sound appears

Like Aqua crying, Explosion, "Kazuma Kazuma", ect.

Source?

>in every Kazuma written in the book there is a button to say "Kazuma dayo~"

Index did well for both seasons it aired. With the second season selling more then the first. Along with Movie being a good success with the BD sales doing well as well. Yet we still didn't get any new announcements for it until this day even when the LN was selling extremely well.

Wait like this?

this is bait, but kys anyway

I don't get you retards crying. It took more than 1 year since S1 ended and S2 was announced.

yes

pretty sure s2 was announced after the last episode of s1

In the DVD, not the actual broadcasted show.

Would you buy one Sup Forums?

Yes, but only if it includes a doujin with Aqua and Megumin destroying each others pussy with huge dildos.

>No Kazuma-Dayo

What's the fucking point then

>All good times must come to an end.
I'm cryin over here.

>not the actual broadcasted show
yes, the actual broadcasted show

>OP pulled sales figure out of his ass
>implying there was a plan for S3
>implying DEEN gets to decide whether S3 gets made
Why is this thread still here?
