I tried getting into Slayers the other day and I just couldn't.
Lina and the story/comedy is great but the art style and Amelia threw me off too much.

Too many, I just have a problem with characters who are too goofy.
Comedy is good but too much comic relief isn't necessary for a show that's not all that serious anyways.

I will out myself as a huge pleb and say that I never watched Slayers. So, dub or sub? Some sub groups that are preferable or to avoid?

I'm sad they didn't have Sylphiel stay with the team in subsequent seasons.
I mean, she showed up later, but wasn't really a core part of the group.

I didnt even get to her being introduced.
As soon as I realized Amelia was gonna stay I dropped it.
I would've dealt with the art style since it's basically early YYH-looking but all together it was too much.

Her onee-san was the overall better of the two anyway.

I will never get tired of the "running away from the smoking ruins of the town she just 'saved'" ending. So comfy.
