So, after reading through the translated chapters, here is what I think could work for the anime adaptation:

Episode 1 - Ends with finding Reg
Episode 2 - Ends with Lyza's "meet me at the bottom" note
Episode 3 - Ends with descening into the abyss
Episode 4 - Ends at the fight against the birbs
Episode 5 - Ends with meeting Ouzen
Episode 6 - Ends at the fight against Ouzen
Episode
Episode 7 - Ends at the start of the survival training
Episode 8 - Ends at the fight with the scarlet maw (big snake)
Episode 9 - Ends with Nanachi's appearance

Which leaves us with 3-4 episodes left in a season. Does anyone who has read the moonrunes have any idea of what they're gonna do with it? Can it end in a satisfying manner?

I'm 90% sure they are going to rush the fuck out of the story to end after the fight with Bondrewd.

After the incredible disappointment that was Berserk's rape horse scene in the anime, I hope the MIA anime will do justice to the pump scene.

That'd be really awful. I'd rather them rush some of the earlier intro stuff so that we get to Bondrewd. Either that or explain some stuff later into the series. Bondrewd's arc is a full 2 volumes out of 5 published. It takes a full volume before they start their adventure. Nanachi's arc is almost a full volume also, but can be condensed to 2-3 episodes.

I really wish it could be 14/15 episodes. 3 episodes for each volume would be perfect.

I don't think they'll rush all five volumes.

Do we have enough content for two cours? I wouldn't mind reaching bondrewd and the entry to the sixth layer if it comes at the end of the 24th episode.

The manga actually condenses a fuck ton since there are a lot of shots that would actually take several seconds to express put into a single koma.

There's absolutely no way they're cramming five entire volumes into twelve episodes, it cannot and should never be done. Unless if you're referring to the first fight which would put the anime on a huge cliffhanger which is still improbable because that's at the end of volume four.
In any case I highly doubt it'll end before getting to the most popular character.

I would use that as some kind of evidence, but the shotas have puffy nipples too so it doesn't lend one way or the other..

I think + this silent conversation points to male. What would make Reg confused and Maruruk embarrassed? And then by the next page, they're all buddy buddy? Finding out he's male is the perfect explanation. Otherwise I don't think those panels would be added.

Kinema Citrus has never done a 2 cour show before if I recall correctly. And there's not enough material to actually make it into a 2 cour show to begin with. I guess the first 2 episodes will take place in the town and the rest down in the Abyss.

Yes, but I have had people complaining in the past. Also, if you browse win-o threads and download stuff, you can easily reach the 6 GB limit. And if you pirate, on top of that, it's even easier to reach it.
