Richard was unable to kill a single Dead Apostle in his life and that was with several other future Heroic Spirits working together with him. Dantes is some hot shit to be able to bring down not just a normal Dead Apostle, but one from the Age of Gods who got boosted by being turned into one by Arceuid.

That's not that strange, Richard didn't have pocket Excalibur in real life. He only got that power after becoming a Heroic Spirit. Without something like that, he wouldn't have been able to kill a Dead Apostle even if he managed to defeat one. Dantes on the other hand has the power of cursed fire which is capable of killing Dead Apostles.

Dantes is called the strongest Avenger I think. He's so full of rage that he's consumed by weird black flames that are poisonous. He can move faster than the speed of thought and create mirror versions of himself moving so fast. Can also shoot mana energy beams.

Guy is crazy, he went so chuuni out of hatred that he developed insane powers because of it.

Also the Crusades dealt with two DA. In other worlds they would be DAA, but in Fate worlds the organizations are looser, its not that they're that much weaker though. They just don't call themselves DAA so much. The first DAA they dealt with was Nero Chaos, they couldn't do anything about it. Second time a DA got too close to their picnic, he teamed up with Saladin to kill it.

There's a lot of cool things, though. Asterios' (Minotaur) backstory was sad as fuck and we have one (1) Greek Hero who wasn't portrayed as an asshole (Theseus).

Some of the designs and new character ideas have potential and all, but they're only worthwhile if they actually use them to make new stories, without involving the GO premise and main characters.
Even a CD drama with cool art as an accessory is much better.

The world system changed from Kaleidoscope to Primary Branch which makes old man Zelretch irrelevant. Dead Apostles will never reach the level of Dead Apostle Ancestor due to humans having a greater control on Gaia which produces shit like Servants whereas in Tsukihime's world Dead Apostles have a higher control which produces DAAs and no servants roughly.

Basically the lore is trash now.

What changed between FSN/FHA/Z until now?

Some of the characters are shared, like how Touko is in Tsukihime likely and in KnK but there's no Arc in KnK or Ryougi in Tsukihime (outside world hopping crossovers). Sion for example dies at birth, while her twin sister is the one who survives in Fate settings.

There are dead apostles but they are supposed to be weaker because of the strong human order/pro history. So they cannot reach the DAA level as we know it. Likewise in Tsukihime, you cannot summon Servants.

Other things that changed: Primate Murder in Fate isn't quite a "dog" (pic related) and he (at least in FGO worldline) is on humanity's side. It's one of the 7 Beasts, numbered IV (other ones known as Goetia, Beast I, and Tiamat, Beast II). Angra Mainyu is the opposite to the Beasts, who are the evils humanity must defeat/are fated to defeat. He's all evils of humanity (another word for humanity).

What Nasu basically did was to return to some of his earliest world setting of Fateverse, which he had to put aside for years.

Yes but you will have to shell out a lot of money for a copy of Tsuki-bako. Last time I saw one up it was roughly 5kUSD.

Another thing in Fate setting, Gaia seems to be at the mercy of the human counter force. Despair born Guardians (Alaya) and the Hope Champions Heroic Spirits (Human Order) to protect herself. Excalibur was forged as the mightiest protection against planetary threats (of course this doesn't cover any of Yahweh's supermode fuccbois).

Roman is by far the best character Nasu has come up in ages. All the shitters of Mahoyo were awful in comparison. So I welcome it. He's ranking up there with Shirou and Kotomine as my favorites.

Honestly the DAA thing is taken out of context a lot and used for shitposting. The DAA are still in Fate worlds, but they don't have an official organization anymore.
